My mom has worked for Tyson Foods for a couple decades now. She visited a facility nearby years back. At the time, Tyson was having branded "stress chickens" made. Someone thought it would be humorous to make one that was a pistachio-like green color, with spots, and hand them out at that specific facility. It's sat on her desk for well over a decade now 😂

H-31's Incident Report: " On Thursday, January 2, 2024, I, Trooper Tim Robinson was conducting patrol on Interstate 40 eastbound near the 42-mile marker when I saw a black motorcycle with no tag on it traveling in front of me in the left lane. I got close to the bike to confirm there was no tag and the rider looked back at me and moved to the right lane then moved to the right shoulder and began to accelerate away from me. I activated my emergency lights and sirens and pursued the bike, reaching speeds of 140 MPH. The rider was passing vehicles on both the right and left shoulder, splitting lanes, and continuing to travel at a high rate of speed, we passed multiple vehicles. I continued pursuing the bike (now in Troop J, Johnson County). Corporal Lonnie Moore entered the pursuit and became the primary vehicle. I continued traveling with Cpl. Moore and I were giving dispatch updates on locations and speeds. Near the 64-mile marker, my vehicle became disabled, and I had to exit the pursuit. Cpl. Moore continued pursuing the bike onto Highway 64 in London. Cpl. Moore lost sight of the bike and Chief Joann Demmitt with the London Police Department was able to continue the pursuit. The rider wrecked the bike at the 9000 block of Hwy 64 and Chief Demmitt was able to take the rider, Chris Smith into custody. After the pursuit had ended, I was informed by the 5th Judicial Drug Task Force Agents they were waiting at Smith’s house because they believed he was carrying a pound of Methamphetamine. I was not aware of this when I initiated the pursuit with Smith. EMS arrived on scene and transported Smith to Saint Mary’s Hospital where he was evaluated by doctors. While at the hospital I informed Smith of my name and why I had attempted to stop him. I read Smith his Miranda Rights, and I asked him why he fled. Smith stated he wanted to go home. Smith told me his bike was impounded last week by Russellville PD and he did not want his bike impounded again. I asked Smith if he had any narcotics with him and if he had thrown the narcotics when he crashed. Smith stated he did not have anything illegal with him. Smith was discharged from the hospital with a fractured clavicle. Smith was transported to the Franklin County Detention Center where he was booked in for Felony Fleeing 5-54-125(d)(3), Reckless Driving 27-50-302(a)(2), Speeding More Than 15 Over 27-50-302(a)(7), Improper Lane Change/Usage 27-51-302, Driving With Suspended License 27-16-303, No Insurance 27 22-104, Failure to Register Vehicle 27-14-701, Fictitious Tags 27-14-306, and No Motorcycle Endorsement 27-20-106."

Some people learned the hard way that you might be able to outrun the cop, but you’ll never outrun his radio.

Indeed and last I heard is that radio waves propagate at the speed of light....186,000 miles/sec.

Some people always say that yet back when I rode me and a group of homies use to drop a gear a dissappear all the time when cops tried to light us up for speeding or doing wheelies. It's the rider. If the bike will do over 160 and the rider knows how to drag knee pucks they are not catching a thing.

Too bad they smoked another V8 charger. Wonder how many transmissions they have on hand?
@Isaac_13218 сағат бұрын
I do track days and we always go to the track with fresh fluids because we want the engines and transmission to last. Lots of maintenance goes into keeping the mechanicals running. I wonder if ASP sticks to a routine maintenance schedule or if their cars go in for service after being run hard. My guess is they don't really maintain them all that well.
@DennisDickinson17 сағат бұрын
@@Isaac_132 You would guess wrong. The lives of the troopers and the public around them depend on the vehicles. Unfortunately, they drive them huge numbers of miles, as well as at high speeds, and over surfaces that vary from fields to woods to pasture to dirt roads to gravel roads to hardtop to actual paved roadways to interstates. If you listen to the transport portions, it is not unusual to hear mileage over 100,000 miles on relatively new vehicles. The life of a cop car is a hard one.

J-29's Incident Report: "THE LOCATION OF THIS INCIDENT STARTED ON I-40 EASTBOUND NEAR THE 55-MILE MARKER. AT APPROXIMATELY 12:13 P.M. I CPL. LONNIE MOORE WAS ADVISED BY TROOP J DISPATCH OF A PURSUIT THAT STARTED IN TROOP H AND WAS COMING INTO JOHNSON COUNTY. TROOP J ADVISED THAT THE SUSPECT VEHICLE WAS A BLACK SPORTS BIKE DRIVING RECKLESSLY IN AN ATTEMPT TO ELUDE TROOPER TIM ROBINSON H-31. TROOPER ROBINSON KEPT TROOP J AND ME UPDATED ON SPEEDS, TRAFFIC CONDITIONS, AND LOCATION AS THEY GOT CLOSER. I POSITIONED MYSELF AT THE 55-MILE MARKER ONRAMP IN PREPARATION TO ASSIST TROOPER ROBINSON. UPON SEEING TROOPER ROBINSON AND THE SUSPECT VEHICLE APPROACHING, I ACCELERATED ONTO I-40 AND ENTERED THE PURSUIT. THE SUSPECT PASSED ME AT APPROXIMATELY 100 MILES PER HOUR AND WAS ACCELERATING. TROOPER ROBINSON ADVISED THAT HE WOULD CALL OUT OUR PROGRESS ON THE RADIO, WHILE I TOOK LEAD ON THE PURSUIT. THE SUSPECT VEHICLE QUICKLY GOT UP TO SPEEDS IN EXCESS OF 130 MILES PER HOUR AS I CAUGHT UP TO HIM NEAR THE 57-MILE MARKER. IT CONTINUED FOR SEVERAL MILES UNTIL TRAFFIC BLOCKED BOTH LANES FORCING THE SUSPECT VEHICLE TO EXITED THE SOUTH SHOULDER NEAR THE 59-MILE MARKER, AND PASS SEVERAL VEHICLE AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED. I KEPT THE SUSPECT VEHICLE IN SIGHT AS THE PURSUIT CONTINUED EASTBOUND AND REACHED SPEED OF APPROXIMATELY 140 MILES PER HOUR. AS IT CONTINUED, THE SUSPECT VEHICLE AGAIN RAN INTO HEAVY TRAFFIC BLOCKING BOTH LANES OF TRAFFIC, AND AGAIN THE SUSPECT TOOK THE SOUTH SHOULDER AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED IN AN ATTEMPT TO FLEE. AS THE PURSUIT NEARED THE 64-MILE MARKER OF I-40, TROOPER ROBINSON ADVISED THAT HIS UNIT HAD BROKEN DOWN, AND HE WAS FORCED TO EXIT THE PURSUIT. I THEN BEGAN CALLING OUT THE SPEED AND LOCATION TO TROOP J DISPATCH. I CONTINUED TO PURSUE THE SUSPECT VEHICLE TO THE 67-MILE MARKER WHERE HE EXITED THE INTERSTATE AND TURNED SOUTH ON HWY 315. SPEEDS REACHED APPROXIMATELY 90 MILES PER HOUR IN A 40 MILE PER HOUR ZONE UNTIL WE REACHED HWY 64. THE SUSPECT THEN TURNED EAST ONTO HWY 64 TRAVELING THROUGH THE CITY OF KNOXVILLE AT APPROXIMATELY 100 MILES PER HOUR AND PASSING VEHICLES. THE PURSUIT CONTINUED DOWN HWY 64 FOR SEVERAL MILES, WHERE THE SUSPECT PASSED SEVERAL VEHICLES ON DOUBLE YELLOW LINES, AT SPEEDS OF 127 MILES PER HOUR, AND ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, HE RECKLESSLY TRAVELED INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC. FOR A SHORT TIME, I LOST SIGHT OF THE SUSPECT AS WE APPROACHED THE LONDON CITY LIMITS. THE LONDON CHIEF OF POLICE, JOANN DEMMITT PICKED UP THE PURSUIT INSIDE LONDON AS THE SUSPECT PASSED SEVERAL VEHICLES AT SPEEDS OF APPROXIMATELY 100 MILES PER HOUR. CHIEF DEMMITT CONTINUED TO PURSUE HIM EAST OUTSIDE THE CITY AS I WAS CATCHING BACK UP. I WAS ABLE TO OBSERVE CHIEF DEMMITT'S VEHICLE AS SHE WAS KEEPING THE SUSPECT VEHICLE INSIGHT. APPROXIMATELY 2 MILES OUTSIDE OF LONDON, THE SUSPECT EXITED THE ROAD IN AN ATTEMPT TO ELUDE CHIEF DEMMITT AND MYSELF. THE SUSPECT ENTERED A FIELD JUST SOUTH OF HWY 64 AND WAS UNABLE TO MAINTAIN CONTROL AS IT TRAVELED INTO THE ROADSIDE. THE VEHICLE ROLLED APPROXIMATELY TWICE EJECTING THE OPERATOR INTO THE FIELD. THE SUSPECT THEN ATTEMPTED TO FLEE ON FOOT AS I WAS COMING TO A STOP IN THE FIELD. I EXITED MY VEHICLE AND BEGAN GIVING VERBAL COMMANDS TO THE SUSPECT WHILE I HAD HIM AT GUN POINT. AS I APPROACHED, I ORDER THE SUSPECT TO THE GROUND AND TO PLACE HIS ARMS OUT IN FRONT OF HIM. I WAS THEN ABLE TO TAKE THE SUSPECT INTO CUSTODY WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. I CONDUCTED A SEARCH OF THE SUSPECTS PERSONS AND PROPERTY AND ASSESSED ANY INJURY'S HE MAY HAVE SUSTAINED FROM THE CRASH. THERE APPEARED TO BE NO MAJOR TRAUMA, BUT E.M.S. WAS CALLED TO THE SCENE TO BE SURE. I THEN MIRANDIZED THE SUSPECT AND IDENTIFIED HIM AS CHRISTOPHER SMITH OF RUSSELLVILLE. MR. SMITH WAS TRANSPORTED BY AMBULANCE FOR FURTHER EVALUATIONS AND WAS THEN TRANSPORTED BACK TO FRANKLIN COUNTY BY TROOP H TROOPERS."
