Simple logic would dictate that if you don't have the protection of crumple zones and seat belts and airbags that you should avoid doing risky and/or illegal maneuvers. Bikers tend not to be that smart, otherwise they wouldn't be bikers.

I don't think the rider ever knew the Trooper was behind him. At those speeds the wind noise had him deaf and add to that the rider probably had tunnel vision due to the high speeds.

@Qwonk I never said it wasn't his fault. He should be charged with "speeding 20 or more over the posted limit." A charge of Fleeing; or Failure to Yield to an Emergency Vehicle, will not stick, because both carry the required Culpable Mental Sates of "Knowingly or Intentionally." If the rider did not know the officer was there, then you cannot have all the elements of a crime.

I've met several guys with suspended licenses who bought a bike. They just want to get to work earn a paycheck, feed the family. The bike was the only affordable option, and I feel for them. The throttle and thrill is the temptation that could get u in trouble. Say a prayer, go the speed limit, don't need unwanted attention unless u want to be an outlaw and invite more financial trouble to come to u. God answers prayers even for suspended drivers licenses. Fyi. Life is short don't rob your loved ones of it

I know exactly where that is. I see him up there in my rear view, Sometimes about 1pm when I get off, I see him on the other exit too on Wagon wheel road Headed north early in the morning about 2 am, lol.. He got somebody Wednesday morning about 2am, i drive a Gun metal gray Challenger... I see him over on 412, followed me on it all the way to Tonitown

Was probably telling the truth. I know several people who ride have music playing thru ear buds. I find music distracting when I ride, but I do use ear plugs to cut down on wind noise.

That cop car can handle speed in comfort that bike over 160mph is a feather when it comes to bumps and corners in traffic the car wins. Ever since patrol cars got hot rodded in 5.0 Mustang days running on most bikes is pointless.

Go look at the videos on the YT channel Gixxer brah you see how easy it is to escape the law when have a rider knows how to ride. The reason you see only videos of cops catching bikes is because they don't want to pay to get videos where it's few minutes long as bike fades away into the distance.

Rider did the right thing stopping. Having been on a bike at those speeds, I can believe his statement that he never heard ASP. If he’s smart he’ll lawyer up. This will be an expensive lesson but he can probably plead it down. Sell the bike; took a trip to the hospital before I got smart and got rid of mine.

I love how people who've never been on a bike are now experts on the subject. First of, when you're traveling at 100+mph, you can't hear anything but wind. Second, he's also got a helmet on to drown more noise out. And third, he had earbuds in listening to music. I know people who can sit in their own house and have earbuds in and not hear a thing thats going on around them but all these experts in here think the man on a bike, with a helmet on, going 100+mph, with earbuds in can hear the cop behind him. It's actually laughable. Also as soon as the cop got beside him, he pulled over immediately. Yes, he was driving stupid. Yes he deserves several citations. NO he was not fleeing.

I've been driving for almost 50 years and have never had a cop with lights going all of the sudden been on my ass. The cop was up his azz for awhile and he somehow didn't notice and then took off . He should be five years in jail

So true years ago was living in a house rented a room from few guys I knew. Had headphones on with my door open when I saw someone I didn't recognize in our house. He had kicked in the front door because one guy was dating this girl, he was her ex. He started yelling at me had no idea what the hell was going on. Turned out my roommate had this girl in his room he was screwing her I never paid any attention who was home much just go in my room close the door. This guy he had a knife he was trying to kick in my roommate's door I closed my door called 911. Eventually the cops showed up by then he ran down the street they caught him. I had no idea someone had kicked in the front door. I now run screws into the frame on front doors can't be kicked in. When I'm wearing headphones, I don't leave doors and windows unlocked.

Please spend the money that the citizens of arkansas pay you to detain REAL CRIMINALS! Everyone speeds including you officer. Dont forget who you are without a badge, your just like the man in back of your car who wasnt hurting anyone and to be honest you and the other officers in the video endangered many more lives than this young man. The fact that the troopers endangered the lives of citizens to "chase" a motorcycle that was literally built to do 170-205 mph is the height or irresponsible and reckless. If the motorcycle rider wants to endanger his own life then so be it but dont endanger my family trying to act like a hero. The motorcycle isnt going to kill anyone but the rider if he messes up but your police car can easily kill someone. Take your ego out of it guys dont get your feelings hurt and think. Act like professionals and you will treated as such.
