Doesn't Akansas have a law, that if an emergency vehicle is on the shoulder, they are REQUIRED by law to move a lane to the left or right, depending on which shoulder they are on with their emergency lights activated? Not one vehicle moved out of that right lane, and they all went whizzing by. In OH, where I live, it's the law, and if you fail to move over, it's a hefty fine. This is for the safety of the LEO'S, rescue squad, fire, and state vehicles with their yellow lights flashing. And yes, the law here also applies to tow trucks or any vehicle or semi truck repair vehicle in our state. Far too many people are killed and/or seriously injured from inattentive drivers slamming into the rear ends of these vehicles or sideswipping them. The laws also apply to snow plows. So far this year, 15 State ODOT plows have already been struck this winter, and 5 of those all occurred on the same day. In 2023, 56 ODOT crews were struck, down from 153 incidents in 2022.

@carolynivey3318 They should review their footage and mail tickets to every personal car or commercial truck that failed to do just that. If extra Sheriff's deputies or another Trooper are close, they do stop and ticket those who fail to yield.

It's appalling! Several times over. 1. How many people seem to think it's okay to drive without a license. 2. How many people park in the left lane (even as a 6-year-old child I knew that the left lane was for passing and that slower traffic should keep right. 3. How many people fail to YIELD (or move over) when an emergency vehicle approaches from behind. 4. How many people violate the "Move Over Law"s effective in ALL 50 STATES.

The people that could get over but don’t. I think they should take the video and send $1000 tickets to the owner of vehicle regardless of who is driving. Lose license for one year. They are not even slowing down. In GA, if you can’t get over you must slow down 20 miles under speed limit so on interstate would be 50. They are not slowing or moving over. WOW!

Oklahoma have a move over law for trooper nic Dees !/22/15 due to distracted driver who had over 100 text on his phone in the rain and fog. He plowed into Dees and others at a traffic crash in a construction zone. We take that very seriously. Hopefully other states will finally too for all FR and TT drivers

EVERY STATE needs to put non-stop advertisement from the governor to move over for emergency vehicles, stop when their lights are on you/move to farthest right that is safe, DRIVERS LICENSE must be on you, registration, insurance proof must be PROVIDED, and have each city/county do a PUBLIC SAFETY announcement for the SAME THINGS. Seriously EVERY state needs to do that, a PUBLIC Broadcast like an emergency alert. Not being politically speaking either. I see it happen here in Minnesota and when I go to Fargo, ND. Wow, that's lenient. Most places, someone is stopped for this, can't see/read reg, no license, lying / giving false ID, no insurance, should have at least had the car impounded and giving tickets to the driver. At most, cart him off to jail with all of those charges and tow the car.

I believe anyone driving without a license and/or no insurance should have their vehicle towed and not be able to get it from impound until a valid license and insurance is shown.

half the troop cars lately sound like they are on their last leg. Probably the in-car computer terminal signaling something, like the retrieval of a driver's information. Might be similar to a smartphone making a noise when you get a message, only a different sound.

so arkansas has a law 27 51 310 yet 92 vehicles that passed this stop did not abide by it, not including the 6 that did slow way down, so this trooper lost all those chances to make a bigger dent in the we dont care group

No difference. In Arkansas, we have Arkansas State Police, ASP and Arkansas Highway Police AHP. AHP mainly deals with large rigs on interstate but has jurisdiction to handle lots more.

I have a couple problems with this stop. First off all it goes beyond a Reasonable stop. Your tenp tag might come off? So might abrogated else. Also I've noticed they all place their foot where it can be ran over without causing significant harm if the person runs and that's not okay when they should have never been stopped. I think it's very brave to be a police officer but our training of them has slowly taken all driving rights away. This person should have never been stopped and police shouldn't look for reasons to pull people over. It was never created for that reason but realized earlier in what it could do to infringe on our freedoms. If I'm wrong ask yourself ? Am i on file for ever being stopped? That doesn't ever go away regardless of what your told
