Everyone should pull from art what they want, but the lyrics are full of the consequences of poor decisions. eg "driving drunk" "waking in cold sweats". The first ver4se seems all good, but as the song progresses the negative comes out. This is a huge throwback to summer 2012, it was a whole vibe. LOL, this song brings up so many memories post great recession as many of us were just struggling. That pursuit of happiness just meant being stable. I worked as a cook at a restaurant, and many of us were college graduates who couldn't find work in our chosen fields at least not at that time. So at one point on a hard ass saturday night shift, I broke into signing this, and we all started singing it, it was cool as it helped pass the time, but it kinda was a ballad for our generation.

This song reminds me of the time I threw a rager at my parents house in like 2012. It was going good until it wasn’t and shit hit the fan but it was a learning experience. Lots of shit got broken and it was a shit show. I got legendary status for a while though. Now I look Back at it, it was stupid but it’s still good memories to talk about over a beer with my friends as we all grow older and I watch everyone get married have kids, start families, etc.
