Pursuit Suspect Gets Away in Mission Viejo

CHP was in short pursuit after a suspect failed to yield and led chase through south Orange County. The CHP attempted to pull the suspect over near the northbound 5 and Ortega but the suspect did not stop and the chase ensued. The suspect led officers through the city of Mission Viejo near Crown Valley Parkway & Marguerite Pkwy where he ditched the car near a ravine and managed to escape. CHP used the help of nearby helicopters from a separate pursuit but still managed to not catch the suspect.
