They are illegal in the UK. I have no idea why. We can purchase all sorts of knives but not push daggers.

Same here in France. A cop once told me its because this type of knife have a very good trusting power due to the punch motion and can easily penetrate police kevlar vest even if they have the small chainmail add on to it . More dangerous for them so
