Push Mower Engine on a Rider / How Fast???

I blew up my engine so I put a push mower engine on. I was surprised how fast it went for so low horsepower.

Use that back pully but use the big pully that drives your mowing deck for the front. Had an old Murray that'd do 26mph just used blocks of wood as spacers to lift the motor and a couple old idler pullys to take up slack in the belt. Haha that thing had a half turn of play in the stearing. Death trap on the road

Check your oil, boys! The way that engine looked, it should have made a MUCH bigger mess than it did. I could hear that thing knocking the instant it was started. The failure is the result of low oil level. It's a good habit, to check the oil level every time you fuel it up.(especially, with old engines) I've always thought it was possible for a cylinder to break off at the crankcase, but this is the first time I've ever seen it. Thanks for posting. If an engine is going to blow, this was an awesome way to have it happen!

In all my years in working on lawn mowers and other small engines, I have NEVER in my life ever seen an engine blow up like that.

Same Ive seen holes in the block I've seen cracked and melted pistons Ive seen cranks break in half all sorts of shit but NEVER anything like that

I'm 16 and I got a free lawnmower without an engine and my buddy gave me a pressure washer that wouldn't spray and it had a Honda 6.5hp engine on it and that's what's on it now

I did this on a Kawasaki 14 horse on a John Deere, engine never blew up but I scrapped it because it was hard to start
