Do you have anything on cut to length push rods using ratio rockers on a 9mming predator
@MesaMinis Жыл бұрын
With +.060 valves I would need .060 shorter push rods or the correct geometry right?

How did you fit the .310 cam with 1.2 rockers in a hemi? I have a .308 with stock hemi rockers and I’m less than .090 valve to piston clearance on both intake and exhaust. Shorter rod? Dish piston? Fly cut piston? What’s the secret?
@jimmycooper72483 жыл бұрын
Silly question perhaps but on a stockish motor do you ever use a stamped ratio rocker on intake only? Good video, thanks!
@Nouri_TV3 жыл бұрын
I got a 1.3 stamped on the intake only stock on the exhaust works great.

Is it a must jody to have billet side cover? Ill be 32/28 head 285 cam with gage 1.2 and 60lb duals???

I bought a set of roller rockers from OMB, not sure if they are ARC. One of the rockers has a pointed end on it. Which valve does the sharp end rocker roller go on?
@eddiedoran7427 Жыл бұрын
Exhaust or intake they are steel, not aluminum.

If I changed from my stock rockers with 18lb. valve springs, to champion "hd" shaft rockers (1.0:1), would I have to change pushrods? I have a mod2 cam short fin billet flywheel and 18lb. springs. If I would have to change pushrods which ones would I need and would I have to do anything with the valve cover?

You ever need to have 2 different pushrod lengths? I have the exhaust valve stem about 1/16” shorter than the intake one. With the same size pushrod the intake spring compresses fine but the exhaust one seems to bind and then bend the rod
@arcracing76374 жыл бұрын
The pushrod length will have little to do with coil bind. The spring install height is what controls that. You will either need to cut the spring pocket deeper to give the spring more height, use a longer valve or cut the valve seat to sink the valve in the head to give you more height on the spring side.
@samstewart48076 жыл бұрын
Why do you run such a big ex. valve?
@arcracing76376 жыл бұрын
The size of the exhaust valve needs to be with in a certain percentage of the intake, depending on cam and head work.

3 years ago but, Anything with a clone taper shaft AND a straight valve head is easier to get parts for, still. That leaves out both of those.

I had the same thing happen. Billet aluminum. USE the STEEL ones!
@Mroswaldo168 ай бұрын
So why go big cam if your going to require shorter rods? That takes the point of going big cam, to get more lift! Just get a cam that gas the right require lift before hitting piston on stock valve kits
@NubsWithGuns8 ай бұрын
Think of the stock push rod being too long instead of the new one being "shorter".
