Is it possible to bring the heel in more? Closer to your hands? It might make it feel more secure but the hands less secure.

This crux reminds me of a bootcamp obstacle movement, where you're in almost the same position. The secret there is to hook the heel of your inside (left) foot over the ledge and lever up - which will give the reach you're looking for in that right-handed reach. But it will mean fully committing to the move and peeling without having your legs under you if you fall. Cool problem though and great effort.
