25:00 You can fix this node bug. The streets with problems are Poplar St and Rosewood St. You have to select road, build on the current road segment and it will increase the road offset. Another way, destroy the street segments, mentioned above, turn off geometry snapping, drag the street segment until it creates a connection to the super node

I think I need a better explanation. All it did for me-- I tried both methods-- is revert the intersection back to the way it was before the whole roundabout procedure.

ive come to realize some of these things trough experimenting and just using logic to solve problems when i get a traffic jam but i learned alot from this video , but im struggling w industrial connections . As it was for CS1 I really do enjoy these network heavy episodes every once in a while. You've really shown how extensive the new road tools can be and I feel like you've only scratched the surface. You got my creative juices flowing and I'm hoping to get the chance to play soon 🤞 The elevated BRT road looks really sharp with the concrete supports, I am curious how it would look if you sunk it under the road 🤔 awesome episode as always OE, you're totally killing it right now building 3 cities bro. Fun Fact: At 3.30, when you build an extra road to insert a node in order to 'upgrade' your slip-lane: it is possible to insert the node you require by simply 'double-clicking' on the road (at the specific point where you want the two-lane road to begin). (i.e. instead of drawing the 'extra road') 🚙

Prior to the time lapse where you attached the walkways to the raised stretch of BRT road, I'd have suggested to put the BRT underground instead and keep the walkway connections above. But this works even better!

4:18 Having a road like this set up would be a great opportunity to try a Michigan left build. Restrict all left turns at the main intersection. Then create a U-turn lane (or two) down the road a piece (so traffic can stack if need be and not block the main intersection) so traffic can make a right, traverse to the u turn, make a left, merge where they need to go, and bam. Traffic issue solved.

​@@zerioification I think it depends on the justification. It's possible to upzone without it being gentrification, as long as you are creating more housing alternatives. But if you're demolishing homes for a highway straight though your city for car centric development, then there's not really an excuse.

High Street x Rosewood street... I would put transit system under ground, not on the elevated road. Then I would make underground roundabout connecting dedicated bus lanes from 4 directions, so buses from all directions would bypass any traffic jams. and then, fancy elevated paths for pedestrians...

please check the lanes on the first intersection! one of the directions can do a u-turn when the road goes from 2 to 1 lane with the slip lane on the opposite side!

Howzit Egg! Awesome series. 👌 I played this map to 100k. Just a warning, the bit where you are dumping sewerage may not drain away due to low water flow, and you may eventually get stuck with an orange dam next to your downtown...

For a while I lived in Runcorn, UK which is a town built from scratch with a BRT. It has elevated sections also including a whole elevated shopping centre with elevated brt accessing it.

I love how you connected those pedestrian paths with roofs to the BRT road and added a crossing. You should make it the super transit hub for all bus services in your city and call it Egginburgh Downtown Bus Interchange

That new BRT with the raised bit is actually very like a stretch of the BRT that was in Edinburgh for a while: the tram track bed being used before the tram lines started to get laid. The dark red bus line even looks like the Lothian Bus service that ran on it. Very spicy... And I just keep thinking Super Noodles now... thanks.

General tip for the replace tool: when upgrading with wide sidewalks, grass ect, just select the first segment, left click and then hover the last segment. Then the tool upgrade all the segments in between 🙂

I feel like people are going to be finding new ways to use super nodes for a long time. There's probly enough there to make a standalone super node mod. Although I hope that'll be included in TM whenever it arrives.

The road building and lack of control is the biggest limiting factor IMO, in CS2. It's very difficult if not impossible to build realistic road networks. It badly needs mods like TMPE and Node controller at a bare minimum.

Ok, my beef with CS2 traffic. At @34:30, there's a truck with a trailer that gets off the main road, then gets right back on! I keep seeing silly things like this... vehicles getting off the highway, just to get back on it. In a regular interchange, it can cause all kinds of stupid traffic problems that shouldn't exist.

Love the new interstate interchange. But please fix the new into city highway offramp and onramp slip lanes. Currently all your traffic is taking the offramp into the 5 way intersection, to get right back on the onramp. LoL still the same oops from CS 1... 🤷‍♂️😂

34:27 If you watch the slip lane, you'll see some vehicles are getting off and just getting right back on. I'm guessing this is just one of many bugs still plaguing the game.

Same happens in vanilla CS1 to this day. Hopefully CO gets lane specific turn restrictions in soon. It's maddening watching people clog ramps going straight\turning around. It could actually be more likely in CS2 to have people choosing on\off ramps over the highway as drivers change paths based on conditions. Even happens in real life. Close to me there's a long off ramp that combines and crosses with an on ramp and tons of people take the off ramp just to get back on and bypass a jammed quarter mile of highway. That said, I'm sure CS2 pathfinding has bugs like almost every other system in the game.

The first super node intersection!! I don't know if it was noticed but lane mathematics has some issues. Some of the lanes have left turns where they shouldn't 34:53. Pretty cool idea to use though! Wish they'd add the yield slip lane ability you see in some places (mostly the US?)

The BRT seems like it's rapidly outgrowing what makes sense for buses, and given how popular it seems to be the city may decide to look in to light rail using the same right of ways current occupied by the BRT

I’m kinda torn on whether us console players should be happy or sad about the delay. On one hand, we obviously have to wait longer as well as not really being able to experience that new feeling, if that makes sense, for example we don’t get to experiment as much because we’ve already seen stuff. On the other hand, we could get the optimal playing experience by already knowing what works and what doesn’t. Lastly, there will be many less bugs than launch day and maybe even dlcs!

If you notice closely around 5:10 to 5:20 the blue semi turns right down the slip lane, turns left, then takes the second slip lane to get back on the 3 lane highway. instead of just going straight. Lol. I see this type of behavior all the time and it's so annoying and discouraging. I hope it's fixed soon. you can see it very clearly at 8:18

You should make a only factory area with small dense amount of house with school and police station and med clic one fire station and only 5 to 15 local stores. Just small town or even small mining town. I think you can use a movie base on true story about the person that invented the rocket ship.

people use freeways? skylines 1 and 2, large roads zero freeways, except where they leave the edge of the map. But then, l'm from a city of a mere 1 million souls pressed against the foot of a steep, extinct volcano to the East and the ocean to the West, and we are JUST now, building the replacement to the "South Road carpark", the sole North South road that bisects the entire city, (even then it skirts around the western edge and misses the city proper by a mile. (1.6Km)

@OE how do you get the homeless to quit invading all of your parks and basketball courts throughout you city? Like every single park has homeless camps all over them. Is this where they go if you destroy a residential building? Even if you destroy and replace the park they come right back. Such an eye sore to see them in like every single park.
