Yo Sammit! So i also got an S15 and i am experiencing following problem: At 5.000 RPM i get this really loud rattling/grinding sound from my engine. The noise only appears upwards of 5.000 RPM and is completely gone below that I already swapped the VCT Gear, Timing Chain and Timing Chain Tensioner, because i was also having VCT-Rattle at the first rev after every start-up. Swapping the Parts fixed the VCT-Rattle, but the High-RPM Rattle remains. I'm not sure if the SR20's fittet to the S15's ever had the upper Timing Chain Guides installed from Factory, but i can definitly say, that there is none fittet to my engine. Do you or Oka-Chan have experienced similar problems or maybe have an suggestion what to look at?

For the latter parts of the circuit in 3rd gear, clutch kick and throw the car in (increasing speed) instead of initiating on handbrake (slowing you down and shallowing your line). Epic though man, you're really progressing!!

I think that may be a GTSt or GTS4 with GTR running gear, dash etc given that it has a sunroof. Still see a few Cef"s here in NZ and most are pretty mint.

That yellow Evo's lights do look cool. It's possible someone custom-painted the reflectors of something else, though. If you know a KZbinr called KinoSTI, though, he and his friends do lots of cosmetic mods on Evos and Subies. Kind of a stancey scene but I think they could help. :) Also, from inside-the car shots anyway, I think your form is improving. :) (It does make me feel like an old lady, though, 'back in my day' you'd only drift in the dry if grip and late braking couldn't do it, ...now there's so much tire shredding. :) )

Sam, try implementing Left foot braking at the Turn at 21:45 instead of yanking the E brake. You should be able to maintain angle through it , while still staying on power, if you time it right exiting the turn before coming out a bit wider. That way you can stay on power pushing smoke the whole way through that section.

Sam, to get the tyres hot, particularly the fronts, you could try an old trick from my hillclimbing days. I would push gently on the brake pedal with my left foot, while accelerating. The brakes heat up & transfer that heat into the wheel & tyre. I'd also do the weaving trick, but it was always better dragging the brakes. We could also do 'tyre warmers' which was basically a burnout, & I'd left foot brake at the same time. This might just be the extra heat you are looking for, so you don't understeer at the first corner. Also, I think you're on the right track with the 4.3 ratio swap. If you went to the 4.6 ratio, you'd probably have the same problem, but with 3rd gear instead of 2nd. Splitting the diff-erence would probably be the answer. I thought Oka-chan might have one you could borrow.

Those are one piece Depo Evo 5/6 headlights Sammit. You are going to do some work to fit 'em. Remove brackets, do wiring, etc. Was suppose to get one for a client back then but he changed his mind in the end. 🤣 There were lots of these sold in eBay a couple of years back I don't know now though. Some say the light isn't that good for RHD units (sources: lan evo forums) Lemme know what you think
