I was hoping they would bring 60Ghz with a 5Ghz backhaul but I guess they couldn't at this price point. It looks like they did a good job of making it plug and play like the UBB... it's just older tech at this point.

Thanks for a great video! When you were showing the distances, I wished you had done a more broken line of sight. Given that your older AP was inside, I presume it might still function with some trees or a building in the way, especially with a more powerful base AP.

@@dabear324 agreed. It's just so hard to do Wi-Fi reviews because conditions are always just different. I probably should have gone in a little bit more tree covered area.. it just takes a long time and you're always going to miss something on one of those kind of reviews. I should have also thrown a u7 Pro up and just seen what the difference was.

That range is really good considering well I'm assuming that the AC HD is inside the building.

In theory, if you have a main building fully networked (including Unifi APs), could you do a UDB Pro handing off to an AP on an outbuilding thereby extending the network/wifi to that outbuilding/area?

Also, any chance you could test the connection through some trees? It looks like the across the lake spot has a parking lot just beyond where you tested with some trees in the way. Honestly shocked it was getting into your building at any of the test spots on 5Ghz, but would be interesting to see how it does with nature/obstacles/less-than-pefect LOS.
