I love those underexposed shots, maybe they're not perfect technically but the grain looks great and it gives that cinematic atmosphere :)

This video format is an absolute win, if you find a unqiue tagline for it so people know which vids follow this format they will blow up and you will gain a lot of traction, very nice indeed.

Loved so much about this video. The pace of the footage and edit alongside the well suited audio really gave a soothing and relaxing feel to it all. Loved the simple structure of the b-roll with the scans to then finish with the explanations, worked really well. Well done, Hash.

You mentioned changing the FE focusing screen to make it easier to focus in low light. Can you elaborate on that or send a link to your video that covers it. I have FE also and have my eye on a Voigtlander at some point. Thanks, FW

Hey! I haven't made a video on the actual upgrade, but if you look up "K3 screen Nikon FE", you'll find some info. I went with the K3 focusing screen (my preference and recommendation) from the FM3A, but you can get different types too.
@frankwolff29034 жыл бұрын
@@pushingfilm So with some research, the K3 is still a split screen design, but supposed to be the brightest of the split screens. Is there a noticeable benefit?

Hi there, this is the first time I've seen your channel and I felt like I had to let you know how much I enjoyed this. The photo section is really nicely edited, I love the mood, and the talk is full of properly useful information with zero waffle. Most importantly, your photos are beautiful! Anything shot through windows works for me but especially at 0.19 and 1.33, and the flare/reflections at the bottom of the frame at 3.35 really make the image. I use an FE2 with the Voigtlander 40mm and have been considering picking up a 58mm, I think you may have just persuaded me to do it! You've also just made me want to visit Melbourne a little bit more. Thanks from Wellington!

Thanks! It was mostly just a case of not having enough light, and I just ignored the meter and shot underexposed anyway. (I was shooting in manual and not going lower than 1/30 hand-held)

Shooting night photography is the ultimate challenge of shooting with wide open aperture lens and slow shutter speeds of 1/8th and 1/15th of a second shutter speeds! Hahaha! Great looking images Hashem! I still prefer shooting with my FE2 even though I have a FE as my back up camera to the FE2🤪 That 500T makes for some beautiful color tones!
@pushingfilm4 жыл бұрын
For sure man! I didn't dare to go quite that low in this video with the 58mm, but if my hands felt steady and I was leaning on a wall I'd probably be willing to go 1/15th 😁

Is the FE2 better than the FE? Im still deciding with one to buy
@behindeachfilmgrain3 жыл бұрын
@@captainiglo5179 Having both cameras and shooting both cameras on different occasions! I personally love the FE2 with faster speeds available FE2 1/4000 vs FE 1/2000 and how ever you look at it... when the battery is dead! You can still shoot the FE2 at 1/125 or 1/250 vs the FE shoots only at 1/90 of second. Both have very similar attributes but the FE2 has a bit more advantages over its little brother! The price range may very hue to the condition and color tones. Black body tend to be more and the two tone Nicole plated tend to be less expensive. Great video Hasham, loved it all, you captured the mood of the both with your video and still shots as well. as for the grainy shots, I loved them, being a fan of grain, they added to the atmosphere and the whole vibe of the shoot. I'm guessing this film is possibly the one that Cinestill use to make there 800T film as well or is that a different stock again? as for the underexposure, I didnt really seem to notice that much and thought it was just from shooting in such low light not letting you get a good enough exposure. look forward to seeing more night shoots from you now that your'e coming out of the lockdown in Victoria.
@pushingfilm4 жыл бұрын
Hey, thanks! Really glad you liked them. It is indeed the same stock as what they use for cinestill; I prefer it because there's no halation to distract from the actual highlights in the image. Thanks for the support!
