Mostly choreographed. Different dancers have different choreography for the same song or portion that they are performing. Hope this answers your query.

It is always choreographed. The dance follows the song being played which is actually a hymn dedicated to God Ganesh and God Mahadev, who is the supreme diety of dancers & actors. All the hand movements are gestures depicting Hindu Gods.

totally disappointing to watch! lacks basic posture and angashuddhi! movements are unnatural, and horrifyingly robotic! dancer looks tired and lazy in first 5 minutes of performance, feeling pity for the audience.
