I was familiar with this process, but as always Ally you took me beyond basics. I use Google fonts linked into RapidWeaver projects, but I did not realize those could be downloaded. And then there were the little hidden extra features that I would never even have have like the “lock children layers”. Great tutorials as always!

That last step was really clever. I think I would have edited the mask of the initial group. Duplication the image and using a separate mask makes it easier to adjust visible areas without messing with the visibility of the text itself. Very simple stuff, but it's easy to forget things like that in an attempt to keep your layers panel short.

Unfortunately, they are separate apps, which require a separate purchase. Fortunately, the iPad apps are much cheaper than the desktop versions. 🙂

i love this video, thank you for sharing. just curious, is it possible to put a different image under each letter? i bet there is, i just do not know how, lol... i just firgured i can create one long image from four images combined then do the letters. but if you know of an easier way? a good idea for a future video, either way thanks for sharing!

yes just covert your text into curves, and you can add a picture to/under each letter......duplicate your text just to be on the safe side

Hello, my question is how you have this kind of grid when your photo is align horizontally and vertically, you just hover your layer in the center of the canvas and this grid appears, how I can enable this?

That is called Snapping, and can be turned on by pressing the Red Magnet icon at the top of the program. 😊

I'm sure there are many of us here who hope that all will be well and in time there will be a full and complete recovery. That's my prayer for you both, pet. (Now 'pet' is a phrase used in the north east of England, UK where I live and is used by one person to another as a term of affinity. See what I did there?)

You need to drop the layer down AND to the right (not just down). Then it will become a child layer. 😊
