Put In Bay is Ohio's Island of Fun! South Bass Island, or Put in Bay as it's more commonly referred to is one of 36 islands on Lake Erie. Known for it's party scene, it is also a relaxing place to kick back, do some fishing, have some wine from the local wineries and just take in the view.
People come to Put in Bay to spend a summer day, a week, or all season. About 100 people live on Put in Bay all year long too! This video takes a ride around the island and maybe a stop or two (or more!) in some of the fine establishments on this grand island!

Silly story about the Miller Ferry. In 1985,I was 14 years old, and on that Ferry,I fell in love with the most beautiful woman I have ever seen! She was a Nurse,dressed in full nurse uniform. I was,of course,an awkward teen,trying my best not to stare! But she caught me staring,and I’m sure I blushed beet red! She knowingly smiled back at me. I will never forget her!🥰 That is my Put-in-Bay memory.

Also,know this: This body of water,this lake,called Erie,it is,in fact,not a lake. It is an inland SEA!!! The magnificence of it! I have seen waterspouts,tornadoes on the lake! This is a geographical marvel,and we are blessed by it’s very existence. 🥰
