Agreed, and with China and Iran in the wings the four state notation's are already bypassing western sanctions with force and threats making the effort to use non-hostile methods to deescalate nearly impossible. And with the partnership in full view western nations begin to look weak while they try to pretend that this is not happening or that their sanctions are more then words outside European Union and NATO. With such a partnership Europe and the West as a whole will need to decide where it draws the line in the sand and how willing it's leaders are to risk election losses in order to make the tough calls (Russia will gaslight the west on any action it takes so there really is no point in trying to play into Russian narratives). Yet this said, western nations have experienced peace long enough to not want to jump into a war and it's societies are in a generational transition period where the younger generations are more influenced by unregulated social media that is quickly becoming dominated by Troll's?Bots and AI generated deep fakes. The older generations are not that better as they are more keen for war but are also upset that progress is changing their ways of life and upending the energy model they based their lives around (basically the shift away from traditional energy is like a slap in the face to older people who assumed oil/gas was going to be around forever and that anyone who thought differently was insane or an progressive simpleton). The end point is I truly worry about the next few years, Europe thinks it has more time up it's sleeve to push Russia of the economic cliff and win the proxy war via finical ruin, but Russia clearly plans to escalate hostilities while it still has the means to do so and is using Western hesitation in it's favour to fully turn it's national economy into a war time economy where it can out produce cheap disposable weapons at a rate that would allow Russia to carpet bomb Europe back into WW2 levels of destruction. So let's hope the average voter across Europe thinks hard about what they want for their futures when it's politicians finally approach the question of direct action to actually enforce the sanctions against Russia/North Korea/Iran and later China.

Sadly that's not actually in the constitution. It's in a letter Jefferson sent to someone. The 1st Amend protects Xtian worship and their financial advantages made Xtianity the overwhelmingly popular religion. The SB's were able to capitalize on that because Lincoln died and Johnson was a Southern sympathizer, like Mary Todd Lincoln. Many Dem's, like me, warned against coddling religions but few listened. This is the price for not doing so.

To be frank, the impoverished military of russia or north korea are a joke compared to, say, the US, that out spends them by billions of dollars with militaries that out performs them on scales of magnitudes greater. If you want militaries, you have to fund them, and there are no militaries in the world better funded than the US by a very, very long shot. We out perform every other military in the world combined.
