For the ppl complaining about the crowd: 1.) This was in a place called "Montreux" (see background), which is located in the francophon region of Switzerland. Hence their traditional tongue is French and not English. They learn English, but not all have above basic skillz, most ppl have basic english skillz. So maybe some didn't quite understand him that well. Also, it's easier for german speaking swiss ppl to learn English, simply bc German and English are both germanic languages and both are lexically closer to eachother than English and French (an Italic-Romance language). 2.) Swiss people are in general more reserved people. That doesn't mean that they have "no humor" - but they are simply NOT the #1 folks to laugh very loud, shout and they aren't born hypemen. I don't find this a bad trait tho and the crowd was definitely laughing, just not throughout the entire set (then again... that's not how it goes and constant laughter would be annoying as heck). So ppl who are claiming that the crowd was "dead" need to stop exaggerating. 3.) Some stuff was probably not realtable for the ppl in the crowd; f.e. american politics. Let's also not forget that not all ppl are into politics and some stuff may have been unknown to some ppl. It's quite impossible to get a joke if you aren't familar with the topic. As soon as he started with the asian stereotypes the crowd was louder and laughed more. Simply bc the asian stereotypes aren't unknown, they are pretty well-known in Switzerland too. So it was easier to make them laugh with asian stereotype jokes. The set was very funny after all. And I don't think that the crowd let him down. Ppl were laughing; he wasn't interrupted and there were no boo's.

He should had adjusted his material to his audience. I'm sure he learned from that. You can't expect Europeans to know stupid American stereotypes, how their metros are or their potato misspelling politicians. Whenever he was saying other stuff the audience was laughing 😁 Like Asians being bad drivers? No one laughed at that because what, why it makes no sense... But when he described how he drives or asked if you use only one car to get to the destination, everyone laughed.
