In recent days , Mr. Saakashvili (newly appointed Governor of Odessa) held a conference with Mr. John McCain in the Ukraine. Mr Saakashvili appears to have lost interest in the whole thing but Mr McCain proceeds to tell us why Mr Putin is a 'thug and a bully'. The conference can be found here: • Video
This video goes back to a Russian TV show in 2011, when Putin's foreign policy wasn't quite as clear to the Russian public as it is today. Nevertheless, he makes his stance known on US foreign policy, and notably, his feelings toward Mr McCain.
Four years later, it appears Mr Putin has delivered on his words that Russia will not be ostracised when it comes to allies on the international arena.

Mars Channel - People say all kinds of things, all kinds of implications. i was a little kid in the McCarthy era. i lived through the way Kennedy and Oswald got killed and swept under the rug, i was not into politics, i was into the Beatles. But you can't live through it and not have it affect you, how you are lied to by the state, how the media does not present different sides, just one, when it comes to foreign policy. Throughout my childhood i was taught a demonized version of Russia, it was like reading a comic book, a cartoon with good guys and bad guys, and no way to know that there's so much more to learn and understand. i heard on radio news in early 60s, something about US military in Vietnam, what's Vietnam? No one really even had answer, i was really into the US going to war because i had been taught all the glorifying WWII stories, the heroes, godlike, i loved them, my dad was an infantry lieutinant in Italy, i wanted to be like them, i wanted to fight bad guys, i could not get enough war movies to watch, it all was so wonderful, some people died but never the hero and most only bad guys. So when i heard US was in a war, i was interested, i wanted to root for our side. There wasn't any explanation for it, ok, fine, who cares, i was in to Surfer Magazine and folk songs popular rock music stations on the radio and my friends, some unknown country the US was fighting didn't really matter, How can something matter when the leaders, especially the oh so honest trustworthy media announcers, the news announcers, didn't mention it. it can't be important if they don't mention it. so no need to think about it. i remember watching the news at dinner time with my parents on TV as so many families did, i remember watching police attacking peaceful black people sitting on sidewalks in the South, trying to attract attention to not being allowed to vote which the media hadn't cared about before, police using big powerful hoses to wash those people violently away, big german shepard police dogs biting those people with their big sharp teeth, police holding the dogs on chains and using th4em to attack these peaceful people. ?? what the hell? i began go learn about politics.that was 1963, early. Then, same year, watching TV news with my parents at dinner, wow, there are these guys who are burning to death, in that Vietnam place, they are some kind of Buddhist monks, they set themselves on fire and just sat there burning to death, omg, ??? wow, why?? who DOES THAT?? oh, they said it's because those monks wanted to draw the world's attention to the brutal repressive pro-US government of Vietnam. Why was the US supporting that government?? Starting to ask questions more and try to find out answers. Well, they said, the American leaders, because those monks did get world attention, too bad they had to do that to get it, but like the black people in the South, they got attention , and then a process of change began to work against the people who wouldn't let black people eat at restaurants white people ate at, and people all over the world started paying attention to Vietnam, and Kennedy was president, and then, BOOM, all of a sudden he was dead. they said they had the guy, some Oswald guy, he was briefly on TV as the police walked him from one part of the jail to another, reporters yelling questions at him, "why did you do it?" and said "i didn't kill anyone. I'm a patsy." i didn't know what patsy meant but i was eager to learn more , i was glad there was going to be trial, he would be able to have his say, he sounded confident that he was telling the truth, oh well, soon there will be a trial and if he did it, we can find out what happened. Then, BOOM, he was killed, while police held him by each arm, and a guy walked up with a gun and shot him the abdomen a couple of times, on TV, on a Sunday morning. Images i didn't understand but could never forget. WTF??? how could THAT happen? there was a weird feeling of being ripped off, why was that allowed to happen to him, now there couldn't be a trial. Well, the government and the police and the leaders would still tell us all, the public, what happened and they would make sense of it all, so just go back to trying to not pay attention to what was increasingly a kind of horror show in the real world, but who wants to think about that? Right around that time, the brutal pro US Vietnamese government got overthrown and killed and the US was approving of it, it was in the news. now Vietnam had a military government and that was supposed to be better because there were all these communists, the baddest bad guys in the world, as far as what i had been taught all my life in the 50s, and they were trying to take over Vietnam on behalf of the worst most horrible country in the world, Russia, so yeah, the new president, Johnson, he apparently was ok with US helping the Vietnamese fight the communists. someone media narrative said "if we let them win in Vietnam, they will take over the whole world and eventually they will crawl up on our shores and take away all our freedoms and enslave us. I can never forget hearing those things, and then i was in high school, not paying attention to the news much or the government, into dating, my friends, boyfriend, but i had been awakened to some kind of political consciousness--i had stopped just accepting what they said on the news and what the president said, it didn't ring true to me, i had no way to find out what was true but i couldn't believe what my gut inexplicably told me was BS. The main thing was to not pay attention to it because there was nothing anyone could do about it. if they kill the president and then they kill the guy they accuse of killing him and then the whole thing gets shut down as far as being anything to learn, instead just being told narratives, dictated to us. glad i don't have to pay attention to that. But then the Vietnam thing because this big deal war, on the news every night. Eventually there were naked screaming crying kids running away from this war, it was never like that in the WWII movies, where were the American heroes? Prit was more swept under the rug, not the proud kind of thing like in WWII with flags waving . why the hell was the US attacking people in Vietnam wherever that is, who even knows?? oh, something about the Russians, we know kind of where that is because the media and leaders tell us all the time, they are robotic people without morals and Khrushchev said at the UN that they were going to bury us and they had nukes, those kinds of weapons that the US used in Japan and all the people got fried and then the war was over. As time went on, i kept finding out facts and facts were not matching up with all these narratives that kept coming through the US media and out of the leaders mouths. Daniel Ellsberg, a whistle blower guy, got the Defense department history of the vie tame conflict up to the late 60s out of building and into the hands of the press. The media first published it but then no discussion, it was shut down . so embarrassing, the truth . Wow, after the Buddhist monks burned themselves to death, President Kennedy was, like everyone else, so troubled by those images of those self burning people, he talked about not supporting Vietnam government anymore in what they called South Vietnam, apparently they accepted that the horrible communists were in power in North Vietnam. How come none of this was ever talked about straightforwardly? bullshit has a smell. and now there was this stuff Ellsberg had gotten out of the Defense Department , but it wasn't being talked about and instead US people were still being drilled with narratives about how we have to fight the communists and we can't surrender, so it was made into a book called the Pentagon Papers, but only a few people read books, most of us want to find out as much as we can from mass media, especially TV, and they made the info in the Pentagon Papers go away. The liars keep winning. if you were paying attention like i was by that time, you would know that but most people didn't. The thing about Vietnam was, a lot f people knew people who got drafted and had to go threre and got hurt or killed or PTSD and strung out on heroin, americans, so it was affecting people, so Nixon got rid of the draft, that got rid of that problem. under the rug, under the rug. Lie to me once, shame on you. Lie to me over and over and i keep believing it, shame on me, All the Americas who believe the US state and its state media are very much a part of the corrupt violent destructive shit that's going on, This is why they hate and demonize and lie about Putin, because he speaks openly and clearly, other world leaders are intimidated by the US and choose their words carefully. I have spoken to a Ukranian, a Turk, and a Somalian about the feelings of Putin in their countries and they think he is a thug and do not care for him. I was starting to like the guy from the vids I have seen. I like the man portrayed on this show. People like Obama too, so I was not sure if I was being fooled like them.
