This would be very hard on Putin. I heard he is part Jewish or has Jewish relatives (I forget which), plus like many Russians, he have friends that moved to Israel. However he recognises the immorality of the so called modern Israel from it’s very beginning as a ethnocentric fascist colonial state that is incompatible with Palestinian freedom that has to be delt with by it’s own citizens recognising the truth of it’s founding, That the creation of the so called modern state of Israel was a tragic mistake, oh & a war crime too, instead of regurgitating & believing their own propaganda myths. Afterall how could it not be, when it was created for mostly recently arrived foreigners from another continent, & foreigners that had yet to arrive, in total contradiction to the wishes & interests of the local longstanding nativeborn majority, that still made up between 70% & 80% of the population & owned or controlled 90% of the land (either privately or a village/town commons according to the official census maps); while the foreign zionist colonisers / nascent Israelis only made up 20% of the population & only owned 6% of the land, & yet the partition scheme was giving them 55% of the land. No other people on the planet would accept such a scheme, so why should the Palestinians? The Victorian era of colonialism ended decades earlier & colonising already settled land was made a war crime 2 years earnlier in 1946. There’s no deny Israel’s colonial status as virtually every zionist organisation that pre-dated WWII had a derivative of the word “colonisation” in their names, only to change their names after the war when such words had a bad smell. Plus just look at the consequences of the creation of the so called modern state of Israel. Surely creating a state that will never be accepted by any of it’s neighbours is a mistake. Creating a state that will never know peace is a mistake. Creating a state that cannot co-exist with the freedom of the local longstanding nativeborn majority again is surelly a mistake. All this is confirmed by the fact that Israelis have such little confidence in it’s sustainability that Israeli Jews have the highest level of multi-citizenship in the world. Already over the last 6 months or so 1/2 a million have used their 2nd passports to emigrate abroad, & another 1.5 million plan to do so over the next 6 months. I don’t blame them, if they want peace it makes perfect sense.
