Zelensky isn't interested in winning. He has a grudge against the Ukrainian people and wants to kill as many as possible. His term in governance was meant to end may 2024, he changed their constitutional law, prohibiting an election to replace him. He is a dictator. A hijacker. With US (NATO) help so that they could kill and terrorise their own citizens in the Donbas region They managed to kill 14,000 before the Russian intervention in 2022. They were also going to try to reannex Crimea so that NATO could put its warships in the black sea to threaten Russia. So you see, Ukraine did "see a reason to need weapons". But it all went tits up for them and NATO ie the USA.

@@skm5779 Read Article 51 of the UN charter, Ukraine gained independence from russia in December 1991 after a referendum in Ukraine, have a read-up. Ukraine is not the same country as russia/ussr, russia can't just alter the map of the World simply because putin and his mates want to lay claim to Ukraine it doesn't work like that. The UN says that Ukraine is a sovereign state and I tend to believe the UN before I believe you lot coming on here saying otherwise any day.

They have no choice. The US did a hostile takeover of Ukraine in 2014. And their target has always been Russia. NATO is not going to stop until Russia is destroyed or till they are stopped by force. Russia has tried to solve things peacefully. It didn't work. The Western world is a crumbling empire desperately trying to hold on to power. Situations like that have never ended well historically speaking. The only chance the US has to stay on top is by winning WW3 like they did WW2. When the rest of the developed world was in ruins, and only the US still intact. Ukraine is only the beginning. It's just one battlefield of many in a greater war going on around the globe. Geopolitics is complex. Nothing is what it seems to the masses. Peace has never been a option. Even if the war in Ukraine stops. The fighting behind the scenes never does. “When you play the game of thrones, you win or you die. There is no middle ground.”
