The Royal Family is in crisis. First, the health scare, the photo, and now Diana's brother, Lord Charles Spencer, just revealed he was sexually abused in boarding school. Understandably why, Diana didn't want her boys going there while they were young; it could also explain Andrew's behaviors. I also remember King Charles saying he was bullied in boarding school in his interviews. It seems the family is in so much pain from what they are going through professionally and personally, and it's affecting them physically and mentally. And yes, I strongly believe someone within their circle (perhaps the courtiers) is feeding stories about the photo and of William's alleged affair (I don't believe he would cheat on Catherine, considering what happened to his mother and he witnessed many fights between his parents but also has the love and support of his in-laws), and perhaps also the one who drove Harry and Megan out as well, planting the Archie race story and planting Diva Megan stories. I still doubt Megan, but I hope she is not what she is being portrayed; the truth will finally come out. They could have utilized her and Harry to reach the younger generation of Brits, who are more diverse. Still, the racist comments within the older establishment made it impossible, and they hated Megan for speaking out. They needed to clean the house, starting with getting rid of the courtiers and finally modernizing the monarchy, making it more like the Dutch, Spanish, and Scandinavian royal families in which they are more in touch with the public.

Royal courtiers are the worst. They have very much guided their Royal principles so poorly. There are so many examples beyond this. A PR plan or approach based on manipulation, dodging, and deceit will always catch up to them. Totally understand that people need a certain level of privacy about their private health issues but courtiers really mis-handled this entire situation and actually made it worse.

What I don’t understand is why they would come out with the cancer diagnosis for the king but have made a complete mess surrounding the princess. I feel badly for Kate. I can't imagine what she's going through and she can't even recuperate in privacy without people leaving her alone! It floors me really. She's a human being let her be! If she was pressured to put out some photo to squash any rumors of her health and then it being altered, only fuels any secrecy or questions of her health. I pray for her to be ok.

These are stressful times for everyone. As a US voting citizen and a supporter of freedom of reproductive rights, civil rights, voting rights and equal rights for ALL people I find it appalling that anyone, let alone older Americans (who were educated about WWII and Hitler) would even toy with the idea of voting for the fascist Trump. I find that the saddest. Also Veterans who would cast their vote for that traitor. I think they are blinded or simply uneducated. That is what keeps me awake at night, his supporters. The Manhattan DA"s trial has been delayed for 30 days at least. Hearing scheduled on March 25 to get to the bottom of SDNY subpoenaed doc requests. It's a hot mess all around. Thank you MaryAnn for all you do.

Thank you, Maryann, for helping us to see the big picture in this struggling, crazy world. I am sickened daily by the situation in Ukraine. As an American, I'm deeply ashamed by the maga extremists blocking aid to Ukraine. Let's not forget that Russia took control of/still controls the largest nuclear power plant in Europe: The Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (on Ukrainian sovereign soil). Putin can commit nuclear atrocities in Ukraine without using traditional nukes, if this NPP were to be sabotaged. Russia can then blame any "accidents" on Ukraine... That is their propoganda game. Russia already blew up the Khakovka Hydroelectric Power Plant last summer, which was a tremendous ecological disaster. I am so saddened by the Pope's comments, and I continue to hope daily that somehow Ukraine will be able to achieve victory according to Zelenskyy's Peace Plan, and no one else's.

I don't know what to think about Kate. I saw a clip of William at a function while Kate was home recovering and he seemed completely normal-happy, smiling, relaxed. I saw no signs of guilt or sadness. It is hard to hide nonverbal communication, so I just don't know.
