Piers Morgan Uncensored is joined by podcast host Konstantin Kisin, Russian chess grandmaster Garry Kasparov, former head of the British Army Lord Dannatt and Ukrainian ambassador to the UK Vadym Prystaiko to discuss the current state of affairs in Russia after leader Vladimir Putin was faced with a Russian coup by the Wagner Group over the war in Ukraine.
The panel agree that Putin's job is in the balance as it looks as if he is losing control within Russia - but Konstantin believes that his replacement would be more "nationalistic" and "hard-lined" Kasparov however disagrees, pointing out Putin is the heartbeat of the way things have run in Russia for the last 20 years.

I really don't understand why you invite Kisin to talk about Russia. He left Russia when he was 11, he has no understanding of what was happening in Russia in the last 25 years. His image of Russia is stuck in 1998. His "people in Russia love Putin because he saved them from 90s" is sooo detached from modern reality in Russia. His words are the words of a person who grew up in the West and doesn't understand how authoritarian regimes work. I mean, he says a lot of smart stuff about modern West - great, but he is not an expert on Russia in any shape or form. Just because he was born there, doesn't give him magical ability to know that country

@@sharon152 i agree with all of your points. I just wish media, like any media in the west could have a serious debate about russia without all the anti russia talk. I would say that everyone who is following this situation in ukraine and other world events don't buy in to the russia is just bad and does this and that. it's not black and white at all. therefore the western media are just losing trust when they keep doing this. I for one will always seek out the facts and it just annoys me that they still believe that they can just keep pushing this narrative. its been a long time since I actually bought in to this kind of one sided narrative that is being pushed on us all.r

Nonsense. Churchill advocated helping the Whites against the Bolsheviks in the Russian Civil War, although he strongly disliked the Whites murderous antisemitism. However, Churchill was not Prime Minister then and others in Britain opposed becoming too involved, especially so soon after the losses of the First World War. Later, Churchill never liked or trusted the Communist regime in the USSR, but believed that the growing threat from Nazi Germany meant that the Western powers had to welcome any allies they could get. After Hitler's attack on the USSR brought Stalin into the war on the same side as Britain, Churchill considered, surely rightly, that co-operation and even a show of friendship was essential: 'If Hitler invaded Hell, I would at least make a favourable reference to the Devil in the House of Commons.'

Part of it is that Garry Kasparov is representative of liberal opposition in exile and, hence, partly in a position of conflict of interests in such debate. His position simply cannot be: "Liberal reforms in Russia have no chance at this point of time or in a foreseeable future. But please continue to support us."
@PavelSTL

Kasparov wasn't "too" dismissive. It's just how Russians express disagreement in opinion. I'm surprised he didn't say "that sounds idiotic" 🤣 And Kisin knows that. Just a normal conversation

@@PavelSTL I disagree. You don't shout down an other guest this way. This is rude period. Regardless who is doing it and for what reason. By the way, I have heard that Kasparov supposed to be a narcissist a-hole and this interview here just proves it. Admittingly due to his lack of 'weight', Kisin should have never been put on the same stage with any of these guys. So some of the understandable frustration or animosity might have arisen from the bad match to begin with. That said, Kasparov's attack on Kisin was a low blow, which reflected badly on Kasparov's character.

All 3 countries are mafia states in their own right, pretending like either 1 of the 3 isn't, is pure lunacy. A lot of people in the West are very naive and ignorant to the horrible shit that the U.S. and U.K. have done over the years and continue to do. A lot of this has to do with the fact that our media never reports about it, or lies when it does. I'd argue that we are actually more propagandized than Russians on average at the moment. This is why people like RFK Jr and Trump are so popular, more and more people in the West are waking up to reality and sniffing out all the bullshit they were being told all these years. That's not what he said - he made very bold predictions based on very little. He also said that if Putin is deposed, the next dude will likely start immediately negotiating. He purposely doesn't mention one tiny detail - the people that did cheer for Wagner - were cheering because they wanted the war to be won and they thought that removing corrupt officials in the defense ministry would help with that. None of them are particularly keen on negotiations - and most peeps vying for power in Russia want to go to full war, not special military operation - in other words, expansion of the war, rather than extinguishing it. Point being, if Putin is deposed, things are going to escalate quickly - on the Ukrainian front, I mean. The only hope is for there to be an internal struggle of massive proportions - which would have a detrimental impact on Russia's ability to continue with the war - in the short term, i mean.
