The reality is - money is on the West. Most of those countries in BRICKS despise West but they like it's money, so they're playing both sides. Plus in BRICS there is no clear leader like in NATO, so countries can look after they own interests much more freely they USA's allies
@burnttoaster6313

You can apply that to literally every other country. Russia, China, North Korea, and Iran are most definitely allies just based on the fact that they all have a common enemy. India isn’t in Bricks because they are allied with those other nations. They all have a common economic goal. India wants to keep neutrality between the east and west.

I'm sure India has a licence to make Ammunition for all the Russian weapons they bought. Just making HE tank rounds for T72s or Russian Atty calibers would help. Just being a source for Russian gear would help offset China supplying Russia. It turns Russian oil funds into Ukraine ammunition. I like it.

@@lazynpsychotic india uses 130 mm russian field gun but we converted them to 155 mm . Also that 105 mm gun has nothing to do with Britain. And the Swedish part, well the Bofors Haubits 155 /39 has been replaced by a newer version caled dhanush in 155/45 . M777 is a sad reality. So is k9 thunder but again made in india not imported directly. Larsen tubro builts it here . But indian firm bharat forge has supplied atags and truck mounted 155/45 mm guns developed totally here to Armenia since our army takes time to test things . Many years hence they are stuck with those Also we have capacity to make 122 mm shells , 130 mm shells 155 , 105 mm shells right now In thousands everyday With 41 ordnance factories it seems you westerners really underestimate india . @@hellomoto2084 it's good to know that India's artillery related production has increased by leaps and bounds after the challenges faced during the Kargil war. I'd assumed the 105mm field gun was British since the design was very similar. People here don't realize that a lot of Indians see the U.S in a positive light despite our various failings, and despite being close allies with Pakistan. I met quite a few indians and pakistanis. They became friends because their languages, Hindi and Ordo only very recently split. So at least the foreign exchange students I met were often very civil and kind. At the end of the day, if given a choice, most of India will always back the U.S over Russia because of their democratic leanings, our lucrative business deals with them, and also because China is trying to physically move their border despite having signed various agreements saying that India owns it. China is very interesting. They talk of neutrality and peace but every week they're either harrassing filipino fishermen that were in their own territorial waters, or terrifying Taiwan. I don't doubt China wants peace. But they want it done with subtlety, fear, and oppression. Everyone wants world peace. but the kind of peace envisioned by individuals vary widely.

As long as 155 mm shells meet NATO standards, you can see India providing shells to backfill and build up stocks in Europe as NATO countries send existing / older sticks to Ukraine. PS - USA is probably not willing to drop stocking levels below what is necessary should Israel conflict expand.
