Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev claimed that the lack of Russian gas is the reason for the ongoing energy crisis in Europe. Speaking to Al Arabiya television channel, Medvedev blamed Western sanctions for causing these energy shortages. He claimed that the halt of Russian gas supplies led to "freezing" conditions for Europeans and the shutdown of production facilities, linking this situation in Europe to actions taken by the United States. Medvedev highlighted former United States President Donald Trump's stance on limiting Moscow's gas exports and promoting American energy sales instead, noting that Trump's policy is being realized now, with Europe facing significant energy challenges due to the absence of Russian gas.

It’s 2024 and the US and Russia have thousands of nuclear weapons. There has newly developed a new state of formal warfare. Russia has declared non-nuclear war against the US and UK. Yet even that declaration is restrained. If the US and UK (and maybe later, France) insist on shooting missiles into Russia that are supplied by, controlled by, and fired by, the US, then one or more of the US, UK (and maybe France) will come to know the Oreshkin on their own soil. Then … what? The end of civilization and potential extinction of Homo sapiens. Russia will attack those with a non-nuclear Oreshkin against those who attack them. So, how does the US and UK respond? Every day our families wake up each morning is, for the foreseeable future, a blessing. I don’t want my family to die for Ukraine.

On November 21, 2024, as part of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Russia launched a new Oreshnik intermediate-range ballistic missile, striking Dnipro.[20] Analysts stated the missile used a multiple independently targetable reentry vehicle (MIRV), likely marking their first use in combat.[21][22] The night attack was reported to see six sequential vertical flashes, each comprising a cluster of up to six individual projectiles.[23] Ukraine's air force initially claimed an intercontinental ballistic missile (range greater than 5,500 km) was used,[24] and Ukrainian media initially reported it was an RS-26 Rubezh ICBM with range 5,800 km. The US and Russia confirmed it was intermediate-range (3,000-5,500 km),[24] but the Pentagon stated it was based on the RS-26 ICBM.[21] It was fired from the Astrakhan region 700 km away.[22] UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric called the use of the intermediate-range weapon "concerning and worrying".[25]

My guess is we will discover that a Russian bomb was sent down the pipeline to a location where it exploded. If they look at the pipe, and the damage is outward, then that is from a bomb inside the pipe blowing up, or maybe a place in the pipeline that is defective and actually broke on it's own because of over pressurization due to lack of flow in the pipeline. My guess? Russia did it, so they can then blow up some apartment building in retaliation for the pipeline destruction.

So far, the west has invested/allocated cca $700 billion in the war in Ukraine. If we have in mind that over the period of 20 years the west invested cca $300 billion in the war in Afghanistan, we get the picture that the Ukraine war is for a long haul, probably culminating in a nuclear showdown. The west won't back off after such a vast investment over a short period of time.

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban warned on Friday that Russia's threat of more strikes using advanced weapons should be taken seriously. Speaking on the radio, he emphasized that "when they [Mosvow] say something in this matter, it should be taken at face value."Orban, who has shown himself as a reliable Kremlin ally within the EU, argued that Russia's nuclear policy change was not mere posturing, stating, "it is not a communication ploy, it is not a trick, it has been modified and there will be consequences."His remarks followed Russian President Vladimir Putin's statement about the conflict in Ukraine evolving into a "global" war, with the potential for strikes on Western countries.

The highlight of the past 24 hours was the launch by the Russian Armed Forces of the medium-range ballistic missile “Oreshnik” (speed - 10 Mach or about 3 kilometers per second) and the ultimatum addressed by the Russian President Vladimir Putin not only to Ukraine, but also to its Western bosses, who officially authorized the use of ATACMS and Storm Shadow missiles on Russian territory. The Yuzhmash missile factory in Dnepr (Dnepropetrovsk), which has been producing missile equipment since the Soviet era, was hit. Shortly before the strike, Moscow warned Washington about the launch to avoid accidentally starting a nuclear war. From the media perspective, this case was out of the ordinary, and Western politicians, as well as the public, reacted violently to it. The head of the Kiev regime, Volodymyr Zelensky, said a short time later that the strike with the Oreshnik missile was not provoked by any reason and that the Ukrainian armed forces have been using long-range weapons to strike Russia for a long time. “This ballistic missile strike against Ukraine today is further proof that Russia definitely doesn’t want peace. Putin is lying when he says that Ukraine’s alleged use of long-range weapons was some sort of new thing we’re doing. This is not the first time we have applied those arms. And we have every right to do so with respect to the norms of international law.” - Volodymyr Zelensky, Ukrainian politician. To be more specific, the Oreshnik hypersonic ballistic missile is aimed at delivering nuclear strikes but in yesterday’s attack the multiple independently targeted reentry vehicles were equipped with hard steel plugs. The published footage from Dnipro (Dnepropetrovsk) shows the kinetic effect of using such ammunition. It is possible that the missile was fitted with an Avangard-R hypersonic glider.

There are no Western countries capable of the kind United front necessary to achieve the objective of deploying troops, let alone beating the Russians. It's time to be realistic and cut our, and Ukraine's losses. All of this is the result of about 100 years of societal decay. Nothing short of revolution and massive, fundamental reform to the way Western countries operate is ever going to reverse this. Look to the Trump admin, if they can make good on their most radical ideas, and carry on the movement with new generations, it may be possible to muster a response in thirty years or so. In the meantime, China and Russia are going to grow to dominate the globe together there's nothing we can do about it.

Russian military personnel in the Kursk direction captured a foreign mercenary, British citizen James Anderson. This was reported by Russian resources. Footage of the interrogation of a UK citizen, former British Army soldier James Anderson, captured by Russian fighters south of Sudzha in the Plekhovo area, has appeared online. Several other Ukrainians from the Ukrainian Armed Forces were captured with him. According to some reports, there may be up to eleven people there. The Briton, a member of the Foreign Legion (a terrorist group banned in Russia), was allegedly stationed at a stronghold in the northwestern part of Plekhovo, defending it from Russian troops. During interrogation, he said that he had previously served in the British army as a signalman, and after being discharged, he decided to enlist in the Ukrainian Armed Forces to earn money. Now he regrets it, but it is too late. As follows from the interrogation of the Briton, foreign mercenaries get to Ukraine through Poland, where they undergo some training before crossing the border. As reported by the Pitersky battalion, formed from fighters of the Wagner PMC, which is part of the Akhmat special forces, the Ukrainian soldiers and the Briton were captured by marines of the 810th Black Sea Brigade fleet.
