When it comes to nuclear power plant I think Russia(Rosatom) is the best in the world because they have all the expertise and requirements from start to finish. Unlike the other countries where they have to get permission from the US. Rosatom will build it with their own investment mostly and also they don't depend on any body for permission. Currently South Korea builds the cheapest and most reliable nuclear power in the world through KEPCO, KHNP and HJSV (Hyundai, Samsung Joint Venture). I’ve worked at one of their projects. Nuclear power is complicated and business, these African countries have to choice wisely and not emotionally. South Africa’s nuclear power was built by France and they’ve had no issue with spare parts and maintenance contracts, but France’s technology expensive.

Major infrastructure projects that are putting African countries in debt are still being undertaken by the Chinese, not Africans. The Chinese have dealt with the Russians and are now capable of building jets. African countries have dealt with the Russians since the freaking 60s and still haven't produced world class militaries on their own. Don't tell me about what the Chinese and Russians have done for Africa because I don't measure such things based on pittances received by those countries. RUSAtom and the Chinese firms they do the whole circuit from site construction to knowhow , paperwork’s to iAEA , design , as well the disposals of the nuclear waste This two companies are best on the world doing the hole circuit ....but the Russians are a bit better than the Chinese because they can produce the yellow cake as well. There is not any other companies in the world making the same hole circuit. They all do some parts only. So when you do a such project you need to make so many contracts and unify them to work or manage them to work at same time. Which is hard. RusATom they did full and whole circuit ...no need other separate contracts ....that’s why they win
