Thank you for the video and advise, I just bought the timex to put the bracelet in my new kakhi mechanical . I was lucky to find a timex as now it seems to be discontinued. I manage to find one in Poland. I can't wait to receive it and swap them as I'm a bracelet guy. Again thanks for sharing.

I'm a white dial guy too but I've had my eye on the new, to be released "Hamilton Watch Khaki Field King Auto; H64455533" with a black dial. To be safe though I'd like to buy the "H64455523" white dial but with the day/date at the 12 O'clock but it also has a "protected/shielded" crown. Not sure what it's called w/lugs around the crown. I like the watches and breakdown in this video.

This was a really cool video. I will say Cassio does sort of have indiglow but only on their FW watches, the cheaper digital ones.

That’s pretty fun! I’ve gotten into watch modding/building over the past 2 years, so I kind of default to trying to mix and match various parts I own or see online. It adds another layer of insanity to this joint of ours 😁. Great vid! Thanks!

Thanks so much. And, I'm with you! I've found that to be a very enjoyable part of this hobby (modding, mix & matching, etc.) It's less fun when things don't go together well, but it's more fun than normal when they do or when you stumble across a great fit, like Jay did with this Hammy and Timex bracelet.

@@HorologyinSanity Absolutely, my friend. When something comes together just right, I dare say a mod can be better than a stock watch 👍😁
@HorologyinSanity2 жыл бұрын
@@cecilyau4440 I agree. A good mod is almost always better than a stock watch (unless you're a Flipper4Life). It's kinda like getting a custom suit made; it fits just right.

I've been thinking about a second Hamilton for three years! It's the stainless steel, black pad version of the "Below Zero" diver...but that white Khaki is sweet!

Awesome! I'll need to look up that Hammy you've been eyeing. I don't know if I'm familiar with it.

@@HorologyinSanity two special versions were in the movie "Tenet" , The tips of the second hands were red & blue respectively, I haven't seen the movie by the way!

@@steven3379 Oh, now I'm tracking you. I did see that movie, but don't know that I noticed the watches. I usually read while I watch movies though, so I don't pay too close attention most times. Thankfully, Hamilton has a website page dedicated to them. They look great! The stealth look is awesome, with just the slightest pop of color on the tip of the seconds hand. You like the red or blue one? They kinda look like a high-end G-Shock (which I say as a compliment, because I love G-Shocks!). I love that it as a zero at the 12 too!!!

Some of the nicer Timex leather straps are made from leather tanned in Red Wing Minnesota by the S B Foot Tanning Co. The same place that makes the leather for Red Wing boots. I love it because my family lives in Red Wing

I've heard that about the Red Wing leather stuff, but never looked too closely into it. I think that's awesome, and it kinda makes me want to get a few more of them to play around with.

@@HorologyinSanity Same here. I know the Timex Waterburys come with the Red Wing leather strap. I may just see if straps can be purchased separately. I’m not expecting them to be amazing straps but the personal connection for me makes me really want one.
@HorologyinSanity2 жыл бұрын
@@sleepinglysithia Yep, I feel ya on that. Having a personal or sentimental connection always helps. I'm curious what you find out, if you don't mind letting me know. It'd be awesome if you can buy them separately, so that you don't have to harvest them off other watches.
