Putting BIGGER Tires On My Ford F-350 PowerStroke Diesel

I'm upgrading the tires on my Ford F-350 PowerStroke with bigger 34 inch tires simply because I think it will look better. But are these tires going to ruin my fuel economy, ruin my torque output and simply make the truck worse. I don't really know but thats what the bigger turbo and 4.10 gears are for.

Great tire for the hot sticky roads here in Vegas. Look awesome and crazy quiet. They are poor in the rain though, so may not be great for you, Alex.

Tire size looks perfect. I run the RidgeGrapplers on my F350 too. Its a great tire, aggressive enough but also quiet on the highway.

Bug defector a new back one.Fender flares are fine for now. Don't change the mirrors to a different mount set up.The wheels and tires look great! I think the bumpers on the truck are nice they just need a good solid black paint job or match the color of the truck that you end up getting it painted.😊

Looking good!! 17" rims are the go too. You just end up with more sidewall with bigger tyres which is always handy! Those side steps need to go, as well as that thing on the hood. Don't worry about what you will find under it if you plan on painting the 'ol girl. Keep the flares, I hate trucks with sticky outy tyres.You have got the ride height just right too, looks amazing. That thing will look sweet as after you are done!

We run 285/75R16 on black American Racing AR23 16"x8". They don't look huge on our F250, but this has an identical 8.4" sidewall height as a 305/70R17. In Australia, it's quite difficult to find 17" AT tyres with a good load rating, which is one of the reasons we stuck with 16". The other reason is that in outback Australia 285/75R16 is an extremely common tyre size for 70-series Toyota Land Cruisers.

I have an old truck from the 90s and bug deflectors was on it when I bought it 25 years ago. Those were all the rage in those days. I left it on but it is harder to clean under there. That's the only thing but doesn't bother me enough to take it off. Its more for the nostalgia. I saw today the chrome badging finally gave up and fell on the ground after 30 years (1995 MY) which was sad.

Don’t mind the bug deflector, looks more like a work truck and you could even get a new one. Also protects hood from flying rocks! Learned on my last truck why they are so useful when I got a huge dent right on the front of the hood in the winter from a rock

Glad you kept with the 17” with AT tires. Not sure about the tire choice though. I’d go with KO3s myself. But 20’s with small tire walls would have been a big mistake. Yep those bumpers and running boards gotta go. Lose the bug deflector.

I remove the bug deflector off of any truck I get that has one. One truck had a little paint damage the other just had some dirt that needed cleaned off.

I put Toyo open country at3 on my trailboss and they have been great tires so far (13k) and the bigger sizes have 3 ply sidewall. They were a big upgrade from the stock duratrac in the Canadian winters

wheel fenders good, I like the bumpers, bug deflector will ruin your paint-it did mine, mirrors will look good, running boards questionable

Maybe new brake hoses while replacing calipers. Definitely replace both so it doesn't pull to the side with the new caliper.

Replace bug deflector with new I wouldn’t drill the doors for mirrors Front and rear bumpers will greatly improve the look of the truck with respect I’m not a fan of the Nittos, they like to howl on the pavement later in life and drive ya crazy. Rims are a solid choice Current fender flares are good enough for now 👍

I think the consensus is to get a new bug deflector which should be an easy thing to do. But I’ll pop it off and see what it looks like. I don’t want to drill into the doors but the little mirror throw me off lol

Nooooooo not ridged scrappers. Awful tires, you will hate these during winter and in the rain. They get loud as hell after 50% too. Im completely flabbergasted why people like these tires. After three sets of Nittos and being disappointed every-time, never going back
