Mauga staring at you isn't his fault or him "being dumb." It's a product of the dev team's terrible design. Mauga's guns are so innacurate that you just can't reliably shoot anything other than the tank.

Unless their within breathing range but even that doesn't matter since he moves so damn slow that they get out of optimal range immediately As annoying as it might be he would probably be way better if he wasn't slowed while firing

I had a Mauga that would tbag me every kill he got on me while I was Rein on Route 66. Took advantage of his agro on me, and my dps had INSANE elims because he chased me all around the map while I baited cooldowns. He ended with "tank diff if my dps play the game" 😂 all they know is shoot tank lol

If they have dva or rein sig, orisa shooting them is pointless, when i play mauga I always focus squishes and its actually much rewarding now with the charge buffs, u can literally 1 shot squishes with mauga rn 😂 most people play him so wrong

Mauga is such a bad design. He basically relies on ppl to be close to him but he also has no way to get ppl close to him. What’s even worse is that he has a heal, but it’s on cooldown AND he also must get it by lifesteal. Making his heal so situational since shields, DR, distance, anti heal, and many other things ruin it. In general, he’s just roadhog but worse. Mauga really does need a redesign

i still appreciate you making that video and all the effort you put into it. maybe it didn't cause an impact, but to be fair there is a lot of videos complaining about overwatch as a whole, about the state of the game, and even fewer videos like your that also provide logical and realistic solutions to the game. However, speaking with my tinfoil hat, overwatch like its just getting milked for all its worth, so they arent gonna care anymore about hearing complains or making the game better by listening the people that play it. like sure, the devs might try to spice the game here and there, but at face value, this game is no longer what it used to be, even with the faster balance changes. still, thank you winton for providing cuality content to this day. and if you wanna leave ow someday and migrate to another game, i am with you. (was not my intention to quote the recall cinematic but o well).

LETS BE REAL, u play winston which has no aim skills, easiest movement ability ever with 5s cd,just shield dance, mauga is actually harder than Winston or dva (easiest tanks) in different ways , aim, charge combo, and he’s so easy to counter which makes him so hard to play rn

Your logic is so flawed. Juggling with Primal is one of the hardest ults to properly execute in the game without feeding. Winston’s left clicks take plenty of aim and positioning is everything for him. Mauga is a brain dead double machine gun easy to play tank (his kit is so basic and brain dead he probably shouldn’t have even been a hero in the game). Maybe use a brain cell next time you comment on a video. Brain dead mauga scum I swear lol

​@ethandickie its true though, winston is really easy to play and is really strong. The hardest thing about winston is finding dive targets, which isn't really that hard. Even dva is way harder than winston. Mauga actually requires good aim and tracking and good positioning even though he has a get out of bad positioning free card.

@@sebaschan-uwu claiming that aim on a hitscan character makes them difficult is such an asinine take it’s absurd with the only exceptions to that being widowmaker, mcree and tracer. Winston has an easy and low skill floor yes, Maugas is equally as low. But Winstons skill ceiling goes higher and it’s not even close. Winston has very difficult mechanics to master within primal which is significantly more interesting than learning how to track on a hitscan character with a magazine size of 300 rounds. The only skill expression mauga possesses is maximizing value out of cardiac overdrive. Outside of that he’s quite literally a pure dps wall that takes his positioning from threat of his constant consistent high dps. Mauga has an even easier less interesting movement ability to use also on a very low cooldown that makes him CC immune and has all the fantastic counter play options of mei wall and killing him which is fucking lame. And honestly I would even argue it’s harder to aim Winston’s secondary fire than Maugas primary as Winston’s fire rate is lower and missing a shot as him is more punishing than Mauga. Also Maugas ult is one of the easiest to use and highest value ultimates in the tank role. And you can’t just say a character requires “positioning” every fucking character requires positioning. I will agree with you that like every character without verticality that it’s more difficult and punishing than Winston to position but that’s a moot point that literally every character without verticality experiences. It’s easier to position as genji (thanks to his increased verticality and ability to use the map) than it is as tracer but would anyone ever argue that tracer is more difficult than genji? Probably not unless you’re genuinely clueless.
