Have the very same skis, love’ ‘em! Fell 4 times my first day, and until I realized I needed to be on my game. They need to be skied with precision and intention. No Sleeping! Once I understood that, I ended up selling off my other 3 pairs of skis as I had found my Holy Grail, the one ski to rule them all. LOL.

Unreal! The enforcers all rock. I actually fell my first day as well. When you have factory sharp edges it's crucial to detune those tips and tails. Also, sometimes doing a base grind can also really reduce any sort of initial grabbiness out of the factory too

Mine were also way grabby at the tips on the groomers. I tried slightly detuning the tips, gradually up to the rocker, with a little improvement. Finally got them dialed after knocking down the edge angle all the way from the rocker to the tip to 1deg, and slight detuning in addition. (Should've held off with the detuning, just for checking the edge tune, but was a bit hasty...) Also, the base edge angle was a bit tighter than 1deg out of the wrapper. Plus, the edges had a little rough finish, which made them bite into the ice a bit too well.
@riseandalpine
@riseandalpine Жыл бұрын
Interesting that you had a similar experience! Now that I've dulled them out a bit they are feeling better. I retuned them at 1 degree but didn't go near the tips or tails. The extra grab worked great for groomers but off-piste was a little much. Overall I find myself reaching for the 115 more often for primarily off-piste days. That extra bit of rocker makes em super fun to throw around even though they pack a bit more weight.
@lassivaatamoinen5468
@lassivaatamoinen5468 Жыл бұрын
@@riseandalpine the extra grab worked for me too, if there was anything soft to work on. But on longer icy stretches, possibly with some soft bumps, the added grip was a bit much. I still think there’s bunch of edge hold in store, but more manageable now. Haven’t had quite as extensive ice tracks to ski since tuning…

Nice, I have a similar ski the Blizzard Rustler 10, that type of terrain with fresh powder they is beyond fun, more of a religious experience really. The tail is def a tad stiff. I think that's also to do with the rocker profile. Not the most buttery ski I've played on. But it makes up in it's ability to charge when you let it fly. It totally depends how much you will ski off-piste and if you want to have skis. Sometimes I like just having one ski so I don't have to think about it or feel bad if I pick the wrong one. Simplicity is best in a lot of cases and when you get super used to a certain ski it's great. I think you couldn't go wrong with the 94 especially if you will be skiing a lot of groomers.

If you want something a little more playful get the 115's or 110's. They ski like a dream in the pow and on just about everything. If you want to have a little more stiffness for carving and harder pack than the extra effective edge on the 104 is awesome. Can't go wrong with either!
@grumpyone5963

Great looking Bobby Dazzlers they are! I’m guessing easier for quick turns being half the weight.
@riseandalpine
@riseandalpine Жыл бұрын
I don't find that the weight makes much of a difference in terms of turn speed. Personally, I like weight under my feet. These might actually be tougher to turn in the trees because of reduced rocker compared to the Solomans. They are also a little bit longer making for a bigger turning radius. Excited to see the difference with the 115's

@@riseandalpine I’m not familiar with the term “rocker”, what do you mean by this?
@riseandalpine
@riseandalpine Жыл бұрын
@@grumpyone5963 The rocker is essentially the amount that the tip and tail rise. This means that less effective edge is on the snow when carving but it allows for more float and smear on the snow. The opposite of rocker is camber. What is your height and weight? What length did you buy? Did you get the right size? 2023 Nordica Enforcer 88 179 cm. Love them for groomers and bumps
@riseandalpine
@riseandalpine Жыл бұрын
I'm 6'2 190-200lbs depending how much I'm eating lol. 191cm is the right size but I always could have sized down for a little bit of a smaller turning radius. The stability of this ski is super impressive and honestly feels like a GS ski that can still handle everything off piste with ease. Currently I'm really loving the 115, it's more playful and is an absolute killer when freeriding.
