PUTTING MY TWO FAVORITE CONCEALERS TO THE TEST WHICH IS BETTER?

I came across your channel several months ago while searching for tutorials on concealing under eye discoloration on mature skin. There was a video you created showing this same product application technique, and it's been a total game changer for me...I was definitely one of those people that did the triangle thing, and now that I'm in my early 40s, it was just looking more and more cakey under my eyes. I had heard about color correcting before, so I bought a few from all different brands, along with buying several different concealers that were marketed for mature and dry skin. But every time I tried using those products, I still had the same cakey issues. So, after watching that video I binge watched tons of your other ones. What I appreciate most about you and your channel is how consistently straight up honest you are. In every video. You don't use excessive lighting, you don't use blurring filters while recording, and you don't just do product reviews. You show your viewers close up, unfiltered shots of your face during your entire application process. You test products using several different options, zooming in to show every detail. You're 1 of 4 creators ever that I have watched that show true unfiltered skin in close up viewing without using excessive lighting. So, thank you tremendously for that! Now on to the Lancome concealer feedback... lol. I watched quite a few reviews on this over the past week, from creators in their late 20s on up. Only you and 1 other creator showed this product on totally unfiltered skin, close up, without crazy excessive lighting. Even those that did close up shots of this product were using either high lighting or a blurring filter of some sort... as viewers, we can tell when creators are using tools that make the skin look unnatural in areas. These days EVERYTHING new that comes out goes viral due to tik tok and sponsorships, and a lot of the time the new products are total crap that die out in a few months after half the planet buys them and realizes they've been totally misled by untruthful influencers. Now that I've watched this video, I am definitely more certain that I will be purchasing the Lancome concealer... You are absolutely, hands down, the BEST KZbin creator I have watched when it comes to anything to do with the under eye area on more mature skin. But your personality and straight up raw realness is why I subscribed to your channel. Don't ever change...

Using the liner brush with a small blending brush is one of the best tricks I have ever learned. I have struggled for years with my under eyes. You are a savior.

From my own experience, the Sisley concealer looks and performs best without a color corrector; the Lancome concealer needs a color corrector to neutralize my blue veins. Did you use the BK Beauty 202 Defined Crease brush to apply the setting powder?

Oh, maybe I did use that😅I need to go back and correct that. I always use my Fit Glow beauty brush. But I forgot to bring it in the room with me so I grabbed that one. Yes, that's the brush I used in the video but normally I don't. I agree about the Sisley, it already has a nice peach base.

I think it was hard to decide because the lighting on the left side of the screen, (right slide of your face) was not as bright as the other side. More slight shadows on your right side, so hard to tell which is better.

I think it was the sisley that looked best on the first try. The second try, I had a hard time telling which worked better. It could very well be the lighting. I have the sisley and I only use it when I need it for special occasions. It works really well for mature skin. I have dry fair skin and use the # 1 sisley. It does have a peach undertone which works well to conceal the darkness. I don't have to powder it because it dries on me without using powder. It's expensive, $112.00, but you hardly use anything at all. So, in the long run it's a bargain. So glad you mentioned this concealer in a past video. Thank you.

I'm very glad that you did this testing of the concealers. I have seen soooo many advertisements for the Lancome concealer, and was just about ready to purchase it. I know that this is your opinion, which I feel goes without saying, but you thoroughly review a product. And once again, I NEED you to remind me to use very, very little product. I did have a question for you-- when you do your skin care, do you feel a need to put on a little bit more eye cream? I do, and I'm not sure why, and I use a Peter Thomas Roth eye cream. I have both and if you really want to get crazy, apply the Lancôme over the Sisley for a super made up glam look (definitely not every day) 😝 That way you get the skincare and hydrating and color correcting benefits of the Sisley with the full coverage of the Lancôme. They pair nicely in that way.

Ok, that eye liner brush for applying concealer is freakin' brilliant. I will totally be doing that from now on! I'm still finishing up my Lancome Macquicomplet concealer, which I am very happy with. It will take forever for that to run out, then I'll try one of these! The new Lancome one is being universally loved, by what I can see across many channels. But we shall see if I go all out for the Sisley one when the time comes.

The Lancome was very drying on me. I retired it after I tried it four different days. One of these days I will spring for the Sisley. I really like the Pat McGrath and the Dior Forever Skin Glow Concealer. I really can’t decide which one of those that I like best.

I have both concealers and have been trying them in different ways for awhile now. In the end, I prefer Sisley because it has a natural skin like look and Lancôme is just a bit more dry looking. I have the same shades as you and I agree Sisley is a little brighter under the eye. The Lancôme concealer is close second for me and I will definitely be using it. It’s nice to have two great concealers in my drawer, now I can pass on all the ones I don’t like to my daughters!

Yes, that's exactly how I feel. Sisley is brightening and skin like and Lancome looks a bit drying. I actually used these together yesterday because several ladies here recommended that and it's a really nice combo. Sisley first then Lancome on top. I won't do that daily but occasionally if I want to kick it up a notch😉

I'll have to do that. This camera is a pain because I am not technical and I'd have to recalibrate it outdoors and then I'd have to do the same for filming in my room. That's why I don't share those outdoor shots. Unless you know what you're doing, which I don't it can mess up my camera. Even when I shoot in a different room then bring it back to my filming room it's a pain. I may get a different camera so I can do that.

You put these through the paces, for sure! Both look great, but from where I sit, the Sisley has a slight edge. I have the Lancôme and really like it, but that applicator is not suited for under eyes! Gonna try your liner brush trick.

If you say Sisley's the more hydrating of the two, then that's the one I'd go for - no doubt - but as far as coverage and smoothness goes, I wouldn't have known which was which without you telling us!! 😳 I tried to buy this Lancome concealer when we were on first lockdown. Online. What I ended up with is Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear Camouflage (in a squeeze tube). Lots of people rave about it but I hate it. It's *very* full coverage, but it's like it has reflective particles in it which I just don't like. I tried it once and hated it so much I washed it off and used my NARS!! 😬 I should probably give it a second chance, maybe I used too much or something? 🤷🏻‍♀️ Thanks for another fabulous review Annie - I love a great comparison review!! 🤩🌻🙂

Yes that one is awful for under eyes. I bought that one too. I think it's best for concealing the face but definitely not for under eyes.

*Several of you were asking me which brush I used to set the concealer. I thought I used my Fit Glow beauty brush. It's what I always use BUT I forget to bring it in my filming room so I grabbed my BK beauty brush which is an eye shadow brush. I wouldn't recommend using that I would recommend using the Fit Glow brush🥰*

Anne I would like to see the difference between the two in natural light for a really fair comparison. As the Sisley one has brightening properties, lamp light will bounce off of it making it appear to work. I have really seriously dark circles and If I use my Sisley concealer they are not disappearing at all. I need way more coverage from a concealer and would be much better off with the Lancôme one. Also, the Sisley concealer does not last me the whole day.

Then you should get the Lancome. This is what's working for me🥰Natural light is tricky because I'd have to recalibrate my camera for an outdoor setting. I can't just walk outside and film that. Then I'd have to recalibrate it again to film indoors. I'm not an expert on camera settings, I do the best that I can. My reviews are a guide to help. What works on me may not work on others. You as the consumer have to decide what's best for you🥰

This Lancome isn't hydrating IMO. Not sure if you'll like it. If you purchase it I'd recommend an eye cream first.🥰

I was going to ask you about the sweater before you mentioned it! I love it and I could tell by the neckline it was slightly distressed and very lightweight, which we definitely need in Fla and South Ga. Yes girlfriend, I would love to see "battle of the concealers" because there are days when I wear only sunscreen, concealer and some cream blush. I have the Kosas, Chanel, By Terry, Cle de Peau, Chantecaille, and the Sisley is my absolute favorite of all of them as a concealer. The one and only reason I even have the others is because on the days I do not wear foundation most of the others can be worn on the face to spot conceal and I would not do that with the Sisley, way too expensive!! I have to say I liked both of them on you and I don't know if I could choose, you don't have much at all to cover up!! Thank you so much for sharing this with us!!

It looks like that the Sisley is more moisturizing and better at concealing. The Lancôme is nice though. The Sisley is a step up from the rest. As long as I have it I know I can count on concealing my eyes without issues. Took a long time to find it. Never creases. Amazing product and the tube feels full still. Love it.🥇

Your left my right looks slightly better by is prob due to lighting. Also I have both and like to use them together-it is perfection! You really don't need to set either with the satin matte finish of the Lancôme. (Unless you are out 95 degree with high humidity and then only powder under the lash line

Need help. Found a cream/liquid concealer. I have always been a light foundation or no foundation girl but it’s time to use a little where needed to help with aging changes. Don’t need much of it and it’s lovely. I am not familiar with good brushes. I have mainly It cosmetic brushes and the foundation ones I have are for powders or are not right for the liquids. It’s the RCMA new liquid foundation. Help Annie. Need your good advice.

You want to get a eye liner brush. You don't have to use the one I shred but an eye liner brush will help you apply it just where you need it. Then a nice small flat brush as I shared. A lip brush would work really well for this because it's small. I hope this helps :-)

I read on the Lancôme web that for undereye use, you should pick 2 shades lighter for under eyes. I didn’t do that, and I think it’ll be brighter following their suggestions!? Who knows, they’re out of stock now! Thx for video 🌸🌸
