Looking Good FieroKyle. Yes, I would definitely fix the rears with spacers. You've put a lot of work on the Fiero. Keep up the good work. Two thumbs up!!!

5 star wheels are the Best and those Sir are perhaps 1one of two, 5 start type wheel the I like the best. Saving up now to get me an 87 fastback (hopefully Black) and since I've seen this brand and style(it's a no brainer on what wheels I will be getting! You mentioned they are 17x9 with a plus 40mm offset Sir with the back having a 10mm spacer, when I order them besides bolt pattern is there any special thing I need to get or ask for? Been checking out their Facebook page and didn't even know about this brand until I run across your channel but very nice wheels.

Great video, I have an 88 GT. How's the clearance in the front, does it rub when you turn the wheel?
@Eric-tc6ib2 жыл бұрын
I cut down that metal piece that sticks out of the bottom of the rear struts that prevents you from mounting wider wheels. Good to know that you can fit 9” wide wheels without doing that. Are you using stock brake calipers front and rear? They looked stock, just painted red on the front.
@FieroKyle2 жыл бұрын
Yup, all stock brake components

@@FieroKyle Awesome! I used Tire Rack’s Recommendation of only 16x7”wide wheels wrapped in 205/45/R16 rubber. On the plus side those wheels are Enkei RPF1 wheels wrapped in Continental Extreme Contact Sport rubber, on the negative side I want to fill up my wheel wells and get rid of that nasty fender gap. Which means a whole new set. I’m glad to see someone else out there trying to mod this car. I find I’m about 10 years too late to the mod scene. Case in point: coil-overs, what a nightmare! Not counting the suspect eBay coil-overs the closest I got was a set of Ride-Tech universal triple adjustable coil-overs with external reservoirs. Was about to pull the trigger and even had my mechanic weigh all my unsprung components when I discovered the problem with mounting coil-overs to those rear struts. By the time I spent the money to have them converted to Fiero Guru’s stage 4 set-up and bought the Ride Tech shocks I would be at the price of full air suspension with all the bells and whistles. So I guess I’m going air. Would be interested to see where you go. Keep at it! I subscribed and watched all your videos.

Damn those rims actually nice..
@Hypo3272 жыл бұрын
You kids...? Rims are the outer part (rim) of the wheel. The inner part is the spoke of the wheel. The whole thing is a wheel, not a rim or rims...! lol! But, I agree, they are nice wheels for sure...!
@raydemarco4272 жыл бұрын
Wait Kyle what brand and model tire did you go with?
@FieroKyle2 жыл бұрын
They are Douglas performance tires. Nothing special
@raydemarco4272 жыл бұрын
@@FieroKyle gotcha. You should check to see if nitto has your sizes. Nitto has a good price and really good quality on the 555 and the nt04. I got those on the Camaro and they're sticky as hell. And inexpensive

Beautiful car and nice wheels, buy you lowered the car about 1" to low, at least 1/2" to low IMO, and it's so low it's going to negatively affect your ride,suspension and handling...! I've had my '86 GT that I lowered with Eibach 1 1/2" lowering springs all around, then later coil overs in the back. She rides and handles good and looks about perfect I think.
@Hypo3272 жыл бұрын
When you lower a Fiero so the tire profile is above the fender well, it looks like a low rider instead of a lowered sports car IMO...! Also, those false splitters don't look good on the Fiero IMO. The stock ground affects look the best without those black things that look like a Mexican low rider add-on. The only reason the wheels/tires looked bad, is because you lowered it about 1/2" to low, because if the car is lowered properly for a sports car, the tread looks good and right, lined up with the edge of the wheel well. Take a look at V-8 Archie's Chop-Top 13 walk-around where he points out the proper wheel/tire alignment and properly lowered car (Fiero)...! You have a gorgeous car that needs these few changes to make it look it's best, IMO...!
