Another great video by the Banks! Upgrading from lead acid to lithium batteries was our 1st major modification. We went from 100 AH to 400 AH. We do a lot of boondocking and during our 2 month summer road trip, we actually went with no hookups for a 13 day stretch (we did dump regularly) at various locations and no generator (we actually don't own one) . Our battery state of charge got down to about 25% at the end of that stretch (we do have a 100 watt solar panel). We rarely use our A/C. I always enjoy looking at the technical aspects of RVing. Thanks for posting this!

That Harvest Host has a lot of space to park! Nice! We think it is fine where it is..... Oh, wait, you moved it anyway! LOL! That was probably for the best. That is a very interesting place to explore! You guys are really set up for boondocking. - Jim & Michelle

Duane, could you add a couple of hoses to the top of those fans to direct that hot air outside? Like the hoses they use on the battery box covers? Just a thought, Dave

Thanks for showing us the solar testing. Btw. I ran across a video over a year ago when a person upgraded their hitch connector wiring to supply more volts to the solar batteries while towing. I believe it shows up as offshore power just like the generator.

Ours shows up as alternator. We have a Victron DC controller onboard.

Fr: The Boogie Down Bronx NY Hi 🤗, I've been watching, I just have not had anytime to comment these days. Life has been lifeing... Great informative video as usual 👏 👏👏👏👏 Mr.. Banks, I was thinking maybe you could have the door to the compartment that holds the lithum batteries fabricated with metal louvers slats that you can open or close, but also have metal screens in the openings, to keep criters out when the louvers are open & keep the batteries cool. That way you can also keep the compartment locked & secure your batteries... Thanks for Sharing Take Care 🙏💞🙏💞

Thanks for the simple explanation of how much solar power and battery power you had. Most videos go too mathematical when all I need to know is what is the end result for the size rv you have. Show and tell is easier! Debby

Maybe look at blocking off those pass through vents at night on battery power? Would help conserve cool and battery life. I prefer to just let the fan run, I know what you mean by the wake up when it kicks on. The Victron is a nice set up. I’m stuck on 200ah in my Rv but I’m only 21’ long 😂 not enough real estate for a lot of solar or battery storage. I’m adding a ground panel soon. I’ll never be able to run my AC but as long as the generator runs, I’ll be ok. Or shall I say she (wife) will be ok, she refuses to be hot 🥵. Love me some HH too 👍🏼
@AllAboutTheBanksАй бұрын
You're right, the Victron is a great system. Thanks for the question.

Great content, i love the test results. My only question is, how big is your battery bank, and what brand are you running. I skimmed your old videos and didnt see an episode that said. Its great to see how well it did overnight, really opens up the possibilities
@AllAboutTheBanksАй бұрын
I have 6 120 AH Discover batteries. They were recommended by the installers. Future Solutions in Elkhart, IN did the install. They installed 4 220 watt solar panels on the roof. Thanks for the question.
@dannhennells2681Ай бұрын
@AllAboutTheBanks that Is very good results. I've been expanding our bank and wondered how big did we need to go to stay overnight comfortably. You have a great system, thanks for responding and sharing. Safe travels
@Road_Trip_WarriorsАй бұрын
@@AllAboutTheBanks Wow! You have an awesome setup! That's 720 AH of battery storage and 880 watts of solar. Although your rig is twice the size of ours, that is some serious horsepower!
@campinwiththeconfersАй бұрын
