This is click and view bait, but cultural salt practices exist: The practices of using salt in various cultural rituals for healing, protection, or preservation are widespread and deeply rooted in tradition across different cultures. Here's an overview based on general knowledge and insights from various sources: Throwing Salt Over the Shoulder: This practice is perhaps one of the most recognized salt superstitions. Originating from ancient times when salt was valuable, spilling it was considered bad luck. Throwing salt over the left shoulder is believed to blind or ward off evil spirits or the devil, who supposedly sits behind your left shoulder. This superstition has been noted in various cultures, including Roman and Christian traditions, where it's thought to counteract the misfortune of spilling salt. Salt in Shoes: While less commonly discussed in mainstream culture, there are practices where salt is placed in shoes for protection or healing. For instance, in some African traditions or folk magic, placing salt in a white cloth and putting it in your shoe might be done for protection, especially when entering potentially harmful environments or for children's safety. Sprinkling Salt in Corners or Thresholds: This practice is found across cultures for purification and protection. In many traditions, salt is sprinkled at the entrance of homes or in corners to ward off evil spirits, purify the space, or bring good luck. For example, in some African traditions, Native American practices, or even in Shinto rituals in Japan, salt is used at doorways to cleanse and protect from malevolent forces. Healing and Spiritual Practices: Salt's use in healing isn't just about physical preservation but also spiritual or energetic cleansing. In various spiritual practices, salt baths or salt circles are used for purification. The idea is that salt can absorb negative energies or entities, thus cleansing the individual or space. This can be seen in practices from Judaism, where salt is used in rituals, to Hindu ceremonies where salt might be part of a larger ritual for purification. Preservation: Historically, salt's primary practical use was for food preservation, which might have led to its symbolic use for preserving or protecting from decay or evil in cultural practices. This practical application might have metaphorically extended into spiritual or magical practices where salt is used to "preserve" or protect from negative influences. Cultural Symbolism: Beyond direct practices, salt often symbolizes purity, hospitality, and preservation of life. In many cultures, offering bread and salt to guests signifies a warm welcome and good intentions, linking back to its value in ancient times.

@jessecortez9449Ай бұрын
Basic table salt is bad for you because it's had it's mineral content refined out. Try some Celtic Sea Salt (82 minerals) or Baja Gold Sea Salt (90 minerals) and you may notice how much you're missing out on minerals. A huge majority of people are missing out on minerals because of modern agriculture practices and livestock raising practices lack them.
@prayerdancerАй бұрын
In my spiritual practice (Sahaja Yoga) we do a salt foot soak every day. A few handfuls in water. Hot water or cold depending on the levels of over thinking (cold cleats heat from the liver and quite a the mind). But once done the feet are rinsed with fresh water and the foot soak water is flushed down the toilet with any negativity that is absorbed. The salt takes in negativity but it can be released back if it’s not disposed of.

Salt was to ancient civilizations second only to gold and silver, wars were fought over it and it's deposits in your country or tribal areas. It's mentioned in the Old Testament and I believe the Egyptians, started using for mummification and later used to preserve food in Greek and Roman culture then it spread. Today we take it for granted, but this wasn't always the case!
@GapGod78Ай бұрын
Tho this might really work, the brain is so powerful, by explaining the effects you are already setting a mental placebo. You can explain it in a negative way, and negative results will increase. What people have to understand is, the control of our own minds. We all should learn how to really meditate. And a lot of these problems will cease exist. I really believe the “Gods” that people worshipped in the beginning were superior meditators. And was misunderstood as praying. And I believe the “Gods” knew this, and help blur meditating(worshipping yourself), into praying(worshipping the “Gods”). And I believe they did this, so people would be easier to control that way.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say salt in your shoes feels like walking with sand in your shoes. That gritty feeling stresses me out and causes abrasions on my feet. Now i can do that and get that salt in an open wound feeling all at the same time.

Sodium is an electrolyte, it helps to regulate the electrical activity in your body. It has nothing to do with yin/yang and mystic energy. However, butting salt in ur shoes would probably change little.

The problem with humans is we have separated ourselves from our spiritual essence by dividing science and spirituality into two separate entities which is why we can’t comprehend anything other than what you’re programmed to believe thanks for the scientific knowledge

@@HowardBrunson Can someone explain to me the difference between spiritual and superstition? Wasn't the idea of the scientific method to be able to test what is true? Now when government gets involved in science, it turns to 100% corruption. But there should be a way to test to see what is true.

This actually could make sense. Ik electrically grounding your body to the earth for 18 hours a day is incredible for your heart n other of the such. Idk much about salts properties but if it somehow aids in conducting electricity similarly like it does in our bodies, you'd basically be making a stronger electrical current through the rubber you where on your shoes. Which tends to severe our electrical current to the planet. Interesting 🤔 Could also have something to do with why it purifies areas. Basically aiding in generating a currents flow around that area. Uhu i need a car battery, salt, and a leather zipper mask just to make the neighbors ask questions. Studying would need to occur! 🥸 we may need a spitting lama/camel by the time this is over.

I put un-refined mineral sea salt or Keltic Sea Salt in my water. I mix one gallon jug water with one teaspoon of salt. I will have that gallon of water gone within 12 hours. Now, putting salt in your shoes? Just a tiny rock in my shoes drives me insane. Imagine what salt would feel like in your shoes, feels painful.
@tonyashelley1763Ай бұрын
I was putting salt in my water as well but the key to that is putting the salt on your tongue then drinking the water bc the salt is dissolved differently when added to water vs eating the salt . When you eat it, then drink, the salt gets into the cells bc water follows salt. The water w salt added doesn't work the same way.
@DIOSEPHBORGАй бұрын
@@tonyashelley1763, Very interesting practice. I'm going to change my way of salt intake for mineralization. Thank you for your sharing.

@jasoncollins9081 , I thought the same about salt into shoes. I've already stopped some walks, to remove one tiny sand grain from one of the shoes, that appears to be a small stone.
@sillililli01Ай бұрын
@@tonyashelley1763 Exactly. People don't understand that even though they drink plenty of water, they could still be dehydrated. It takes salt in-order-for the cells to take up the water, otherwise, it just runs through their body.
@Lucida1818Ай бұрын
@@tonyashelley1763yes I’m doing this too. I eat grains of salt even if I am intermittent fasting. Then take a few sips of water.
