This is helpful! I'm an RA, and this really eliminated my confusions. Gonna use this video for my dorm bulletin board!

Thank you so much! I just did my 1st board in 35 years. This video made it so much easier than it would’ve been! I’d love to see how you make the whole thing. How you make your letters, etc.

Good Job, I remember as a kid growing up in Texas & my teachers decorating our bulletin boards, now since I'm working remote; I thought it would be a great way to be creative, thank you so much, n/s!!!

Bulletin boards to decorate for march

Would love to see how you use the board in class! Thanks for the tips.

This was for last year and what I did on here is I put several value section pin up boards from Target (they have a strip of would with either closthespins or metal clasps attached) which allowed me to clip on student work to showcase exceptional work.

@@ktscreativeescape Got it, thanks. It's my first year teaching middle school social studies and I'm not sure what to use mine for. Right now it's a big ugly empty chasm :)

Do bulletin boards get air pockets in them "over time"? I've had air bubble problems in the past and it might be because I don't use push pins like I saw you do. I just stretch the paper out and staple straight away. I'll try it your way next time. Thanks.
@ktscreativeescape Жыл бұрын
So I have never had this problem. I think if you use the push pins, flatten, and staple it should prevent the problem. Of course if there are air vents directly on it that could be causing it as well.

Oh! Also, important which was not filmed- I start stapling from the middle going out. So staple the middle, flatten outward, staple. This will help reduce air pockets/bubbles

Where did you get the big rolls of paper?
@ktscreativeescape4 жыл бұрын
Vlivelove S. My school provides them but you can buy smaller roles at Lakeshore or any mom and pop teacher stores usually. I think Amazon has some, and S&S worldwide online has the big ones for sure.

What is it that you put the black paper on? Underneath it. Our walls are all cement
@ktscreativeescape3 жыл бұрын
Luckily for me this was a bulletin board that was pre-hung on the wall, so it was cork.
@jmannii Жыл бұрын
When I had concrete walls, I attached foam board to the walls using really strong sticky tabs. Then I decorated the foam board like a bulletin board. I covered it with paper and border. I attached things to it by stapling. I put up three such boards in my room.
@jmannii Жыл бұрын
If I could do it again, I would attach the foam board to the walls using Velcro.
@ktscreativeescape Жыл бұрын
So at this point I have done it on the drywall and it worked fine it is just harder to staple. Cement I can't imagine. If a staple gun doesn't work you can get cork to hang for pretty cheap at Ikea or maybe foam like the other poster suggested.

I think I"m just gonna get something printed at the local office supply store, get it laminated and that way I can just reuse it every year. These BB seems like a big time waste to me.
@ktscreativeescape Жыл бұрын
So this is only how to do paper background and borders. What I put on that is usually laminated and the unit info I reuse every year. Currently I have had the same paper and borders up for 3 years so I haven’t spent too much time on it at all. Just when I initially did it.
