Apparently, in Japanese, he speaks in an archaic way since he doesn't understand how to translate/speak in the newer language of the new world he was sent to, and it just ends up having a double entendre while he speaks formally. But that's difficult to translate to/show English, so they just kept the part that he messes up the phrasing, and not the part where he speaks super formally. Edit: The fan translations try to keep that formal-speaking part ("Be my desire" and "Confound it!" etc) BUT the official English releases of PPT and PPT2 don't really keep it. (You can read info about this on Puyo Nexus and on TV Tropes - "Puyo Puyo: Compile (Major" in his character page.)

It's a little frustrating seeing everyone call Schezo a pervert. It's pretty clear that he's saying those lines without realizing the meaning behind them, and we never actually see him do anything perverted. "But he said he was a pervert, that has to count for something"! Yeah, maybe it would, if it didn't come from the guy who's whole gimmick is poor choice of words. Honestly, if he was a pervert and meant what he said, there would be no jokes in any of his interactions. Unless you find the pervert saying something perverted funny, Schezo's dialogue isn't funny with the idea that he's a pervert. People who take everything he says at face value are missing the joke.

Schezo wanted to be a hero, but by defeating Runelord he fell to his curse, gaining immortality, the inability to age (physically or mentally), and becoming evil. He stole the magic of many, gaining enough bodies to make a weird monster called the test body. Then he captured Arle, she decapitated him, and the brainwashing and can't die part broke. He's since been developing into an anti hero, even at one point sacrificing himself for Arle and Rulue (everyone including him thought he would die, not wind up teleported outside the dungeon with his memories of the dungeon and its treasure gone). Schezo is socially isolated, living in caves alone.

Well, given his first appearance in madou monogatari... when he and Arle meet the first thing he says is "All I want is you", puts her to sleep, kidnaps her and locks her in his dungeon full of creepy creatures. While trying to escape, Arle decapitates him, he's still alive and you have to fight his head. He was arguably more dangerous than Satan, since Satan wanted (and still wants to) marry her, while Schezo tried to kill her. They HAD to tone him down, because he just wouldn't fit in puyo puyo's wackiness.
