when i realized that the way others feel about me is their business and not mine, my confidence went through the roof tbh. most mindblowing realization ive ever made. the way i respond is my business, the way others feel about me is not and never has been. others feelings can never be your business. i dont care if i fail anymore, i can just try again or give up and thats my business. everyone else can mind theirs, since theyre probably not even making any attempts at anyting anyways. i know me, i know my intentions and i know my effort, and thats what matters. this literally healed a lifetime of trauma to figure out. wish i was taught this growing up, but yknow. at least i know now.

8:33 that 14-chain was too good for a 2.5k rating player, wasn't it? It really seems to me that players evolved in general and now many don't have high rating because everyone is too competitive

Well that, and a player's rating level may not always tell the entire story about them. For example, any 3200 level player could just make a new account, and then that player's rank won't be applicable until they reach the 3200 level that they would be worth. Even genuine 2500s might occasionally release a high chain. But it won't measure up to how consistent that might happen for them.
