So it really is canon that the original puyo characters came into amities world and so forth into ringos. Thats really interesting because none of the modern puyo games seem to explain it and it kinda sucks they dont know how to go back.

They go to the Primp world in 20th Anniversary because of an explosion in Risukuma’s lab (Madou/Original Characters stay in Primp.), then they go back to Ringo’s world in Puyo Tetris due to Risukuma doing an explosion again, and then go their separate ways, until in Puyo Chronicles when they get sucked into the Chronicles book. (Puyo Quest in not canon, the tournament aspect of Puyo 15th is canon depending on the way you look at it.)

I heard that when Sega bought the rights to the series they only bought the rights to the characters and the games but not the world where Puyo was set in. Don’t ask me where I got that information from. It could be very wrong.
