idk about switch but usually just hold left shoulder button. Try it.. If you hear a chime sound that mean you unlock it.

Big Bang perfectly shows that you sometimes need to slow down your playstyle to not mess up your neatly arranged setup while playing Tetris (Puyo too, although it's not that important in Fever mode since the game gives you preset chains that can be extended).

The ones where he says "Shigu" are alternate gag voices. Most Puyo Puyo games since Fever give characters alternate voices. To unlock that either use different characterization or are made as gags.
