When quilting puzzle quilts, do you follow a pattern? How do you quilt them?

Wow! Very clever. Love your design boards. Are these made using Kaffe Fassett design flannel or another product? I'm very intrigued about giving these a go. Love the use of fusibles for piecing. Discovered Carmen several years ago at Quilt Market. Thanks for sharing your creativity!
