Loved the video!! I sewed quite a few denim quilts. I went to thrift shop and they wanted $3 a pair for each jean. So I went to desk and asked if they would give me a bundle deal. I got a huge bag of jeans for only $3.00! You are very organized. Nice.

Hello Paula, I love how your approach is calm and without fuss! This is a wonderful idea! Now I know why I kept all the boys jeans over the years. I tried to make a quilt similar to this a long time ago but it was a disaster so.... the jeans are still in a UFO box in the depths of my sewing room. It's time to get them out again I think! Great quilt idea! But I would make all the initial cuts with the pinked rotary cutter-- no need to cut each block twice!

You can always try.....I found it easier to pink the block edges after piecing it.

What a super idea! Many people were out just a portion of the jeans and so much of the fabric continues to be useable. This is the perfect project for those pants! I can see that it would be very durable even for a rambunctious dog who likes to move their bed all over the place! I will certainly be giving the ravioli quilt ago as soon as I collect enough jeans to do it. Thank you for this excellent video and superb explanation of how to put it together.

Thank you for posting this video. I plan on making this quilt right away. I don't understand about clipping the seams.....that are reversed. I'll watch the video again and hopefully when I am sewing the row together it will click in my brain! I'm excited! WOW on your sewing room!💖💖💖💖

The pinked edges of the blocks will fray beautifully over time if you clip into the sewn down corners, just to the stitched line. Enjoy, and let me know if you have any other questions!
