Lyk bevok Div. I used ABE bituminous membrane to cover the whole interior of my double cab Mitsubishi bakkie when I stripped it to find and repair a leak. It's worked fantastically well for noise reduction and I've seen interior temps of more than 50 degrees Celsius without it smelling let alone coming off. I also have some leftover PVC floor tile and will be sticking them in the bakkie this weekend after seeing your result.

Yeah what a great idea torch down membrane and the shop connecting tiles it looks nice you should build you a center console with some cup holders for your coffee or cold soda.put a little wood work inside and stain it the gray to match the bed.i may have a line on 50 Ford F1 cab frame and a flat head six and it's rocking the major rust it's a stick and no bed but I could build a flat bed the guy wants 1800 for it I would have to drag it out of the desert about 20 miles but I have a truck that would do the job.. so stay tuned. Take care div.have a good one.

Hey Div, that really turned out good! Every old jeep / truck I've rebuilt, the floors were rusted out because of moisture trapped in the carpet or in the felt padding under the mats. I just spray the " paintable " black undercoating on the floors and leave them bare . I am going to have to do some sound deadening material on my 64 F100. Even with the new door and window seals it's too noisy at 55 mph to talk without shouting. Well, almost shouting!:) Looks great!:)
@ratrodsafrica2 жыл бұрын
I know that felt padding is horrible. No chance of trapped moisture now!
