Just implemented this with 2 1/2 " SCH 80 electrical conduit that had on hand only in use 1 month now but so far so good, I have a new 600 pound 7' hydraulic plow on my new Kioti NS 6010 tractor.

Been doing that for years on my bucket loader. Doesn't scratch the blacktop and concrete and if you get into the grass a bit it won't peel the grass up like the bucket edge would.

I used white PVC schedule 40 was very brittle and broke up. It was 18 degrees out. Can't find 2" ABS

Use 1.5 inch.

@BaronKreger I found 2" abs at Ace hardware. Just tried it today and it worked better than PVC

what holds it on? looks like it could slide from side to side? ive seen people using metal pipe ... but they bolt it on... anyway.. good luck to you🤠

I thought the same, but it's a tight fit, never slid side to side bit did break when I abused it.

ABS lasts a lot longer.

Don't use PVC. It's to brittle in the cold. Use ABS. also, I couldn't hear a word of this.

This is not going to last long. You should be using schedule 80 PVC. Also, I used a workmate bench and a 10' length of 2x6 as a fence to cut a perfectly straight line. Your freestyle method will result in a wobbly cut. Good luck!

It did ok until really worked it and it broke. I replaced it with Sch80 and that broke on one of the corners. I will be uploading a video shortly showing how I fixed it.

I work at Lowe's and a customer told me about this "hack". He was looking for a piece of 2" ABS and when we didn't have any in stock I suggested PVC. He stated that his research indicated that the PVC will break in the cold. The ABS apparently won't and holds up well with the use and cold. Look fir a the black ABS at your local home center or plumbing supply. Good luck and thanx for the content.
