You only ever start by cleaning the shoes with water and a clean clothe. Anything else would dry out the leather!!

Just want to say brilliant shine to be looking sharp to turn up to an interview meeting ect. BUT if i rolled up to anything in the military with that shine it is no shine i can not see my face in them when you say you don't need 5 hours only 10 minutes your right we need at least 7 hours and kiwi is the best as it is reliable unlike that Lincoln stuff. Anyway good job in those 10 minutes

Manny Bamberg No it is not about the polish going into the leather like saphir it is about it staying on top as you polish the layers of polish you put on not moisturising the leather

I personally never let anyone shine my shoe while I am wearing them. it is immoral and I don't feel comfortable

You need to invest In saddle soap... it's the first step of a shine and you skipped it.

ugie boogie this is not correct. Soap severely dries out the leather and makes it crack. Think of it like soap on your own skin. It is very drying. Leather is a skin after all.

Thomas Mcnees yikes lady, do you apply wax on your car without cleaning it first? No. Saddle soap is used to clean shoes, we're not using dawn dish soap. You, pal, need some saddle soap and leather conditioner to get a real shine.

wrong...saddle soap deeps cleans the leather. you follow how the saddle soap with a leather conditioner/moisturizer. Then you wax...
