I think the PVP rewards could use a buff tbh. Like the mon + cool hat are sick, but 2 poison barbs? 2 mystic waters? idk seems negligible for the time commitment they take

At least for the gift mons they are typically usable for that tier, the exception is randoms because you don't bring your own mons. Since they will only ever be 2x31, 4x25 they aren't perfect competitive mons but they can be fun to try new strats or random ideas.

I've played probably a thousand hours of PVP so far and I can never seem to get enough points to qualify for the pvp hats. Anyone got any math on exactly how many hours you need to put in to get one?

I believe you get more points for beating higher ranked players and winning streaks.
