Naturalist role gets slept on. I agree it’s a slower and less profitable role for newbies but if you’re levelled up a bit and especially if you’re combining it with other roles it’s GREAT. Definitely recommend doing it alongside collector or bounty hunter.

I do the Etta Doyle bounty then I collect all 4 sets of the Cards but while I am doing that I am also getting samples and also trying to complete the book. Ok bub, relax. Here’s a good exploit people have been using. It’s called patience. No really. Wait outside the turn in location to complete missions until the last 60 seconds of the time limit. You get more money and more importantly, gold. When you get to an area to turn in, let’s say you have 15 minutes. Watch a 5 minute video. Move your character so you don’t get kicked, then with your last bit of time: Watch videos until under 60 seconds, take a bathroom break, heck I even made spaghetti start to finish once within time.

For the trader if you shoot a perfect deer and it starts to bleed out just wait about 30 seconds to a minute for it to die. otherwise you'll damage the pelt if you finish it off. You might get bad honour but if you care about that just brush your horse 🤷‍♂️

First role for a new player who does not want to invest money should always be bounty hunter because it earns you gold which means you now have an easier time getting every other role.

If you want to sell anything in a solo lobby and you are in ps4 you can go to LAN cable settings, customized, and change the MTU from 1500 to 800, this puts you in a solo lobby in gta and red dead, it’s pretty useful. Edit: if I didn’t explain it we’ll search how to be in a solo public session in gta in ps4 (or in your device)

The biggest difference in horses is handling. Superior handling is easily the best, racing is better than standard. I disagree about long distance deliveries. They are worth $125 more than local deliveries and take about 12 minutes to complete. I only get attacked occassionally, like once in 15 deliveries, and when that happens if you log out you can retry the delivery. That costs you about 12 minutes of time for an extra $125 and only happens now and then.

I'm currently at lvl 44. Started playing in December when it was on sale. I adore this game despite not having more content or any new bells and whistles. I play to relax and roleplay with my horse. My current goal is to make enough money to buy nice outfits, another horse that's brave and tanky and just explore. I've unlocked all roles and I want to max them out. Bounty hunter is hard. I don't know what I'm doing and I lose my bounties. Maxed out Trader role without a hunting wagon. ( Have one now but no point lol ) Currently enjoying Collector role Moonshiner is ok.

Hi!! For bounty hunting once you get them you can knock them out! Hogtie them and kick them until you get the 'knockout' XP bonus! Don't hit them after that cause they can die!!

@@sean7940 I reckon for someone who’s new to the game and has never known dailies before they were so radically nerfed, they still feel like something worth logging on for on a daily basis in order to be able to buy the next role. As for me, even though I’ve been playing since beta (with some larger breaks), the dailies are still the thing I do most when I play, just because they are the most meditative (to quote OnlyPVPCat here) thing to do in the game. But I don’t feel compelled to commit to a 28+ day streak any more like I used to. I feel like I have hoarded enough gold for the next 15 updates by now anyway

I usually like to jump into games and try work things out for myself, rather than consult guides straight away. Its more of a slower learning curve and i get to enjoy the game for longer. A lot of the things here i had no idea about, im on pc so im free aiming.. i didnt know i had to set the damn options to free aim for a bonus! i absolutley advise to do the long distance deliveriers even as a beginner. You can do it easily in a solo lobby and as a side effect there will spawn many legendary animals if you have leveled up the naturalist role.

Not anymore you can’t. I tried my first distant delivery and got destroyed by ONE player who used ONE fire bottle. Fire bottles are op and will insta-fail you the delivery.

As many greifers in gtav there is a lot more ppl tryingto help others enjoy that game online and im one of them that helps low level ppl get money and get them going on their own and help them with tough missions that aren’t so easy to do alone but ive noticed that a lot of ppl come off as nice on rdr2 but not many youtuber or gamers are actually that friendly and do their best to make a person hate the game instead of helping them and since u can’t open the map and see where everyone is and see what’s actually going on unless you are close by it gets infuriating and thus therefore bonds aren’t made, friendships aren’t always created and ppl just go back to gtav or a different game they were playing. Personally I owned this game probably before most of the jerks and beat story mode twice and played a little bit of the beta online but the mechanics are so close to gtav but different i found myself messing up in both games when id try to go back and forth between the two. Rdr2 will get a lot more love online after gtav has dried up or is extremely close to if they don’t move progress from gtav to gtavi online (since gta online is supposedly a stand alone now 🤔) but id like to get better at online in rdr2 because it’s actually a buffer for gta 6 but beyond that i love it and think it’s a great game. As toxic as the ppl are and can be on gtav they tend to talk bs for fun mostly but typically will change up right away and help a person make money and teach them while playing. Rdr2 on the other hand is a lot of i did this now u do it and i will hurt you and keep u from getting where i am as best i can for no reason other than im a piece of shit and hate my life. Rdr2 is not as friendly as gtav. Rockstar knows it and i knew it before anything! No one is buying gold bars to be called names but friends i can give money to legit buy sharkcards to get into the action now and have fun. Thank you for this because I know story mode but i also know gtav story and I know they are both very different worlds! ( meaning online versus the story mode for both games)

1.Go fps for pvp dor better movement 2.use the switch shoulder left dpad 3.save your gold for roles 4.you can hunt 3* big game with a poison arrow 5.you can lasso-to- knife certain animals 6.you can bow hunt fish for 3* with small game arrows 7.use a medium wagon for trades for a good income flow instead of large 8.treasure chests are awesome for gold 9.Utilise a random horse to help carry an extra bounty or pelt/carcass if you are without a wagon 10.have fun, slow down and enjoy the game. KEEP CARCASSES WHOLE FOR MAX PROFIT
