After the original game came out, Michael Jackson tragically passed away. The estate of Michael Jackson requested PopCap to remove the Michael Jackson-inspired zombie from the game, so that’s when PopCap patched future releases of Plants vs. Zombies, replacing the Michael Jackson Zombie with the Disco Zombie that we all know and love.

Another difference: 2 achievements were added in goty edition, "Ask me about mustache mode" and "Towering wisdom" So there are a total of 20 achievements in the pc version
