It could be like this but this is not how it works in the actual game in all, there's health and attack components and display values only that alone is more complicated than how they showed it

Btw you don't need to know programming to mod the game but also you'd need to know more than programming since some things just aren't in the game engine you'd need to learn reverse engineering and make a full private server in a programming language you like, like python unless you work for ea

Across this couple months sometimes I have thought how I would balance the game if I was just allowed to just make easy changes so essentially only stats I think that the game is very balanceable with just changing the stats, increase cost of some plant removal, increase stats of uselss plants, reduce stats of teleportation zombie and teacher, etc But in the end is a bit of a pointless train of thought You don't want to add more content to the game, fine, but if changing stats was so easy why couldn't they just have a guy do it every so often I really wish they could have done that at the very least

This is EA afterall, they would never bother spending a penny on a game that doesn't win them as much as Fifa or other games do. Plus, they would gladly leave legendary cards overpowered and more common cards underpowered, thus the reason why barely any legendary cards been changed in the yet not released balance changes and been only targeting the most common cards.

Do u think they will ever add balance changes? I feel there is so much potential for this game like making new maps for example 2 water lanes, add new cards with unique abilities, change stats, add 2v2, etc.

Unfortunately if I am being entirely honest, I don't think so. We have not received anything but fixes for the last 5+ years. Even other abandoned games get more content, like TF2 with new maps. We get nothing. The best we can probably hope for is that a "Reflourished" mod or something similar but for PvZ Heroes comes out. There have been some good mods for the game before, but as far as I know all of them have lacked multiplayer, which is in my opinion probably the most important thing to have in the game.

​@@youshouldaddzombottothisdeckMultiplayer is totally possible, and has been done before. The main issue is that you need to run a server, which is very expensive. Like, I would set up a modded server in a heartbeat and try to get people playing, but I just can't afford it rn.

What is the point of this video? All these changes are easily possible to implement. The decompiled card data for this game is all over the internet. We know how card abilities are programmed, and as a modder who has completely changed the text of cards in the game, as far as I'm aware not one of these abilities would take more than 10 minutes to make. Coding in a balance change is usually the easy part, since the infrastructure is all there. The hard part is making sure the change is actually a good idea, which the important ones definitely aren't.

So as far as I know, the changes that leaked were actually something the devs proposed to big content creators back in 2020 and they simply leaked recently, so in other words they were ideas the devs had before the game was mostly abandoned.
