sir this one type of question plz water in a canal 6m wide 1.5m deep is flowing with a speed of 10km/h how much area will it irrigate in 30 min if 8m standing water is required

It is from surface area and volume. And can easily be done by using , volume of water flowing through canal( canal is cuboidal so volume=l.b.h ) = area to be irrigated × height of standing water.pit values get answer

300[ 1/x - 1/ x+5 ] = 2 x+5- x. 2 ------------- = ---------- X² - 5x. 300 X² - 5x = 150x5 = 750 X² -5x - 750 = 0 By middle term splitting ( x + 30 ) and ( x - 25 ) Therefore x is equal to 25 km per hour as speed can't be negative . Hope this will help you
