Finish up reassembling the engine and go ahead and give it a rip.

Hey just wanted to let you know that this pw 80 build series has really helped me tackle the case splitting on the pw I just bought!!! I dont have a manual so I appreciate you taking the time to film and upload so others can see. Hopefully I get mine running within the next 2 weeks. Im at the step of applying the yamabond and sealing the cases together lol. Thanks again!!!!!

Did you have any issues with the flywheel key being machined in the wrong location? I've been looking into the Niche Amazon crank but noticed a lot of reviews have stated it's keyed wrong. Wondering if it's only some or all of the stock. Awesome video btw very helpful. I'll be using this for reference when I do the project.

How much would a full rebuild cost my buddy has one he will sell for $10 but it has 0 compression
@dirtbikedadgarage46623 жыл бұрын
That kind of depends on what the actual issue is. If it is just no compression could be bad gaskets on the cylinder and head(cheapest) all the way to need new piston rings or piston or cylinder/head(most expensive). But 10 bucks I would have snapped it up no questions haha. Thanks for watching!!

hi been watching a lot of your vids and noticed everyone as a lot of problems with aftermarket carbs including myself a nightmare to be honest i have recently put a dellorto phbg 19.5mm carb on my sons with a k&n style mushroom airfilter and the bike is running a lot better and quicker and does not bog at the end of revs ie it revs to maximum and also you can get jets for that carb to actually tune it to its full potential
@dirtbikedadgarage46622 жыл бұрын
I have since gotten an OEM and swapped out the jets to match the air filter and we are running just fine. Bout to swap it for a yz85 since we are outgrowing it.

What is the compression of your pw80 because I put a new jug head and piston and rings and new seals and gaskets and I get 80psi for compression
@dirtbikedadgarage46623 жыл бұрын
There isn’t a listed compression for the 80 but it should be closer to 100. You could check all your seals and your head and base gasket to make sure you aren’t losing air anywhere. Also good to measure the cylinder and piston and rings to make sure you have a good seal.
@Jerry-oq2ej3 жыл бұрын
@@dirtbikedadgarage4662 I think it might be my crankshaft causing the piston from sealing wrong it doesn’t spin smoothly and the connecting rod was pretty sloppy
